SCROGGINS-Funeral services for Robert Lee Self, 75, Scroggins, are scheduled for Friday, Aug. 5 at the Beaty Funeral Home in Winnsboro. Visitation will precede the funeral service at 1 p.m. with the funeral at 2 p.m.

Mr. Self died July 30, 2016. He was born January 27, 1941, in Blue Ridge, Georgia.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Charlie and Fannie Bell Self; brothers, Roy, RB, JC, Hershel “PeeWee” and Lloyd; daughters, Sandra and Sheila Self and a grandson.

Survivors include his brothers, Vance and Floyd Self; daughters, Sheryl Lowder and Susan Lamont; sons, Ira Lee Self, John Kingsley and Bob Self.

Special Olympics returns in style

Symphonic band presents Christmas concert

Concerts are Sunday, Dec. 17, at 2 p.m. and Tuesday evening, Dec. 19, at 7:30 p.m. Mike Holbrook is back in the director’s seat, so it’s sure to be a fun-filled couple of hours.
