The Yantis Lady Owls took out Como-Pickton 38-28 last Tuesday in Yantis. After falling behind in the first quarter the Lady Owls came back strong to finish off the Lady Eagles.

Lady Owls beat Como-Pickton, boys fall
The Yantis Lady Owls took out Como-Pickton 38-28 last Tuesday in Yantis. After falling behind in the first quarter the Lady Owls came back strong to finish off the Lady Eagles.
Scoring for Yantis were Ashten Burnett with 11 points, Bayley Bush and Maddie Hooker with nine points each, Montana Wetzel with six points, Maggie Hooker with two points and Landry Thompson with one point.
The Yantis boys team played tough before falling to Class 3A Union Grove 50-46 on the road.
Scoring for Yantis were Marshall Anderson and Jayden Modrall with 10 points each, Bradley Potts with nine points, J.C. Nolen with five points, Tucker Hathcoat with four points, Bobby Petree with three points and Lucas Cerretani with two points.
The Owls (12-7) traveled to Saltillo Friday night but came away with a tough 66-61 loss. Yantis traveled to Campbell Tuesday, after Monitor press time, and open district play on the road against Bloomburg Friday.
The Lady Owls (6-8) traveled to Fruitvale to open district play Tuesday, after Monitor press time, and face Bloomburg on the road Friday.
