Ronnie Dale West

1951-2018

ALBA-Funeral services for Ronnie Dale West, 67, of Alba were held October 8 at Amazing Grace Fellowship Church, Alba with Byron George officiating.

Burial followed in Colony Cemetery, Alba.

Mr. West died October 4, 2018, in Rains County. He was born September 28, 1951 in Dallas to Lloyd and Dorothy West. He was a foreman in the steel mill at Tyler Pipe where he retired after 38 years. He was a rancher, welder, fisherman and Christian.

He was preceded in death by his father; brother, Ricky West and son, Michael West.

He was survived by his wife of 17 years, Sandra Basham of Alba; mother, Dorothy West of Alba; son, Jody West of Golden; twin sister, Bonnie McAree of Alba; sister, Tammie West of Winnsboro; four grandchildren and one great-granddaughter.

Special Olympics returns in style

Symphonic band presents Christmas concert

Concerts are Sunday, Dec. 17, at 2 p.m. and Tuesday evening, Dec. 19, at 7:30 p.m. Mike Holbrook is back in the director’s seat, so it’s sure to be a fun-filled couple of hours.
