Russell Franklin Foster, 79, of Bastrop passed away on Feb. 5, 2021 in Round Rock.

Russell was born in Yantis to Clyde and Pauline Foster on Jan. 20, 1942. He attended school in Yantis. Russell married Caroline Foster on Aug. 26, 1966 and stayed married for 54 wonderful years.

Russell worked at Air Products and Chemicals for over 31 years as a plant supervisor. He also served in the Texas National Guard from 1964-68. Russell also belonged to the Masonic Lodge.

Russell enjoyed volunteering at the Bastrop Little League, helping build some of the fields kids still play on today. He also enjoyed going for long rides in the country with Caroline and his dog, Mikey. After retirement, Russell enjoyed traveling throughout the United States with his travel trailer, seeing the sights with Caroline and cousin Jerry and Quita Burchfield.

Russell is survived by his wife, Caroline Foster; son, Robert Foster and daughter-in-law Bonnie; granddaughter, Lacey London; grandsons, Chayce and Roman Foster; sister, Gwen Higgins and brother-in-law Roy Higgins; sister, Junell Ross; and numerous cousins, nieces and nephews.

Russell was preceded in death by his parents, Clyde and Pauline Foster; son, Paul Foster; and cousins, Terry Nolan and Jerry Burchfield.
