Sandra Myers 1944-2020

Sandra Myers, 75, of Mineola passed away on March 12, 2020 in Austin. She was born on March 31, 1944, in Pittsfield, Mass. to Robert and Mary Bass. She was an artist, a former member of the Lions Club and a graduate of the Citizen’s Police Academy. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ken Myers, and her parents. She is survived by her brother, Victor, and her son Robert Myers. Visitation was scheduled for Wednesday, March 18, from 10-11 a.m. at Beaty Funeral Home, Mineola. Service followed visitation at 11 a.m. with Dr. Mark Neeley officiating. Interment followed at Sand Springs Cemetery, Mineola. In lieu of flowers, donations to APET-SPCA are recommended.

Special Olympics returns in style

Symphonic band presents Christmas concert

Concerts are Sunday, Dec. 17, at 2 p.m. and Tuesday evening, Dec. 19, at 7:30 p.m. Mike Holbrook is back in the director’s seat, so it’s sure to be a fun-filled couple of hours.
