Sheila May Williams

MINEOLA-Funeral services for Sheila May Williams, 89, of Hainesville, were held December 6, at St. Dunstan’s Episcopal Church in Mineola with Thomas Pantel officiating.

Burial followed at Concord Cemetery.

Mrs. Williams died December 3, 2018. She was born May 16, 1929, in Gateshead, England. She came to Texas in 1947 and married Thurman Williams whom she had met in England when he served in the U.S. Army Air Force during WW 11.

She was a member of St. Dunstan’s Episcopal Church and through the years she was a Sunday school teacher and active in ECU and altar guild.

She was a member of The Tyler British Club where she had a chance to have tea and chat with other British women in the area.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Joseph and Eva Neilson; her husband, Thurman Williams; an infant son and grandson, Jason Stanley.

Survivors include three children, Saundra Juroska, Midlothian; Dr. Michael Williams, Tyler and Margaret Stanley, Hainesville; a sister, Audrey Lonnborg and brother, Derek Neilson residing in England; six grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.
