Shirley Joyce Miller, 1951-2019
Funeral services for Shirley Joyce Miller, 67, of Tyler, were March 26 at Beaty Funeral Home in Mineola. Her son-in-law, Dennis Irwin, officiated. Internment was at Roselawn Memorial Gardens in Mineola.
She died March 22, 2019, in Carrolton. She was born on Aug. 6, 1951, in Chandler to the late Robert Cox and Lola Dalton. She was a beautician in Mineola for over 25 years, was the Mineola Woman of the Year in 1981, and attended the Texas School for the Deaf in Austin.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Lola and O.D. Fikes; daughter, Michelle Miller; sisters, Patsy Chrietzberg, Brenda Rector and Vicki Castleberry.
She is survived by her son, Jackie Miller of Mineola; daughters, Molly Irwin of Lewisville and Lori Miller of Tyler; sister, Robbie Boswell of Tyler; 10 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
