Shirley June Alexander, 1935-2022

Services for Shirley June Alexander, 86, of Alba were held at 3 p.m., Saturday, Nov. 19, 2022 at Wilson-Bartley Funeral Home, with Marlon Alexander officiating.

Interment was in Salem Cemetery, Alba.

Ms. Alexander passed away Nov. 15, 2022 in Tyler. She was born Nov. 27, 1935 in Rains County to Ben and Marzee Almeda Parrish Alexander. Shirley had lived in the Alba area since 1946 and was a member of Alba Church of Christ. She worked as a volunteer for Meals on Wheels for 26 years. She was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Don Alexander and infant brother, Ronald Alexander.

Survivors include four nieces and nephews, Barbara Miller of Alba, Desmond Wayde and Sharon Alexander of Sulphur Springs, Kimberley Green of Quitman and Benjamin and Sandra Alexander of Virginia Beach, Va.; and numerous other relatives and friends.

The family received friends from 6-8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
