Simonek leads Yellowjackets
The Mineola Yellowjackets baseball team recorded a 10-0 shutout against the Sabine Cardinals last Friday in Gladewater.
Mineola hurler River Simonek threw 4 2/3 innings of shutout ball in a dominant performance by the Yellowjackets.
Mineola put up three runs in the top of the first. They added three more in the third inning and four runs in the fifth behind seven hits. Cole Castleberry collected three RBIs on the night.
