Smith, Haswell exchange vows
Holly Faye Smith and Lucas James Haswell were married April 3 in Mineola. Bob and Zana Smith are parents of the bride. The groom is the son of Mary Haswell and the late John Goas, of Williamsport, Penn.
Lewis Pollard of Grace Community Church performed the lakeside ceremony. Music was presented by the bride’s brother, Kyle Smith, and Travis Bolt. The bride was given in marriage by her father, Bob Smith. The bride carried a bouquet of white roses. She wore the same gown her mother wore on her wedding day, which was also April 3, in 1977. Laure Taveau-Nickell attended the bride as maid of honor. The bride’s sister-in-law, Kristy Smith, served as bridesmaid. Groomsmen included Bob Smith and Kyle Smith. Ring security was provided by Wyatt Smith, and Mae Smith served as flower girl.
The bride, a former Miss Mineola, was a graduate of Mineola High School and Southern Methodist University. The groom was a graduate of South Williamsport High School and is employed by Morton Salt. They met in Mineola at the Iron Horse Cruise car show in 2018. This is the first marriage for both. The couple resides in Grand Saline and will honeymoon on the Riviera Maya in Mexico.
