Davion Sneed’s dominant inside performance helped the Mineola Yellowjackets beat the Wills Point Tigers Friday night.
Sneed tallied a team-high 13 points and seven rebounds, helping the Jackets win 57-45.
The Jackets used a strong first half to take a 16-point lead in to halftime when the score was 35-19 at intermission.
While the Jackets were outscored in the second half, they made just enough plays in the final quarter to hold off the Tigers for a 12-point win. Cameron Sorenson also scored in double figures for the Jackets as he poured in 12 points while hitting three three-pointers adding four rebounds as well.
Shaw Franklin rounded out the Jackets’ double-figure scorers as he scored 10 points hitting two three’s before fouling out.
Sean Dennis also added eight points.
