Suzette “Susie” Strickland, 1958-2020

Suzette “Susie” Strickland, 61, went home to be with our Lord and savior on Thursday, Feb. 13, 2020. She was preceded in death by her mother, Helen Leopard, Princeton; sister, Kathy Noles, Sanger; and son, Christopher Lemley, Hawkins.

Susie was born July 22, 1958 in McKinney. She lived in Hawkins where she was a homemaker and an office manager at Tami Lynn’s Tips & Toes. She is survived by her husband, Roger; children, Jeremy Lemley of Winnsboro, Crystal Lemley (husband Rocky) of Harmony, Allen Strickland (wife Krystal) of Ben Wheeler, Christopher Strickland (wife Daniele) of Chandler and Lee Strickland (wife Maranda) of Lindale; 14 grandkids; and numerous other family and friends.

Visitation for Susie was held Sunday, Feb. 16, 2020 at 2 p.m. at Lowe Funeral Home and services followed at 3. Officiating was Brother Ellington. Pallbearers were Rocky Houge, Lee Strickland, Chris Strickland, Jeff Crouch, Wilton Strickland and Richard Clardy. Gary Strickland and Carl Strickland were honorary pallbearers.

Special Olympics returns in style

Symphonic band presents Christmas concert

Concerts are Sunday, Dec. 17, at 2 p.m. and Tuesday evening, Dec. 19, at 7:30 p.m. Mike Holbrook is back in the director’s seat, so it’s sure to be a fun-filled couple of hours.
