Art and wine festival to be held in Pittsburg
The 4th Annual Pittsburg Art and Wine Festival will be held on Saturday, May 28 in the Historic District of downtown Pittsburg at Pendergrass Park from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. The festival will showcase great wines from The Piney Woods Wine Trail. The event will also feature extraordinary artists from the East Texas area displaying and selling their pieces to the public as well as music and local culinary treats from Fruit with a Twist, Pearl’s Kitchen and Red Bear Mobile Cuisine.
“This event continues to grow year after year,” said Community Development Coordinator Amanda McCellon. “It’s a unique event to our community and gives us the chance to show off our beautiful historic Main Street.”
This event is free to the public or tickets are $5.00 if you wish to do tastings and includes a souvenir glass. Wineries will be on hand to discuss and sell wines by the taste, the glass or bottle.
“This year we will see 10 wineries and over 15 artists,” Mc- Cellon said. “Our artists will feature everything from woodworking to unique culinary treats.”
Pittsburg is located in the center of North East Texas located on U.S Highway 271 and State Highway 11 and only minutes from I-30 and an hour from I-2o.
