Sybil C. Alexander 1923-2019

Graveside services for Sybil C. Alexander, 96, of Mineola were Saturday, July 20 at Roselawn Memorial Gardens.

Mrs. Alexander died Monday, July 15, 2019, in Mineola. She was born May 23, 1923, in Hainesville, La., to the late Lee Walker and Bessie Walker.

She is preceded in death by two brothers, Clarence Walker and Ben Walker, and one sister, Bobby McMillian.

She is survived by her husband, Fay Alexander of Mineola; son, Billy M. Teague of Grand Saline; step-sons, Fred Alexander of Austin, Rodney Alexander of El Paso, Richard Alexander of El Paso and Ronald Alexander of El Paso; step-daughters, Sandra Noe of Shephardsville, Ky., and Sonya Smalley of Springfield, Mo.; five grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; a niece and a nephew.

Special Olympics returns in style

Symphonic band presents Christmas concert

Concerts are Sunday, Dec. 17, at 2 p.m. and Tuesday evening, Dec. 19, at 7:30 p.m. Mike Holbrook is back in the director’s seat, so it’s sure to be a fun-filled couple of hours.
