• The annual Buddy Scheolkopf Reunion will be held on Saturday, Sept. 22 at Paredes Restaurant in Mineola. Arrival time is 10:30 a.m. to 11 a.m. For more information, call 903 569-9125.

• The Broad Street Church of Christ in Mineola will serve breakfast from 7-9:30 a.m. on Saturday, Sept. 22. The cost of the breakfast is $7 for adults and $4 for children age 12 and younger. Proceeds will go to benefit the Bread of Life Ministry.

• The Mineola Historical Museum invites you to a grand opening reception Saturday to help celebrate its newest attraction, the Barber Shop exhibit. The reception will be from 1-3 p.m. at the museum, which also will celebrate its ninth anniversary.

Special Olympics returns in style

Symphonic band presents Christmas concert

Come on over to Mineola’s beautiful Historic Select Theater and hear the Lake Country Symphonic Band’s Christmasy “Everything Christmas” concert.

Concerts are Sunday, Dec. 17, at 2 p.m. and Tuesday evening, Dec. 19, at 7:30 p.m. Mike Holbrook is back in the director’s seat, so it’s sure to be a fun-filled couple of hours.
