The Mineola Chamber of Commerce’s annual awards banquet will be held Thursday, March 7 at the Mineola Civic Center. Doors open at 6 p.m. and dinner begins at 6:30 p.m.

At 10:45 a.m. Saturday, a complimentary ride on the Iron Horse Square mini train will be offered and all former employees of the Texas & Pacific Railroad and their families are invited to attend, along with the public, a special tribute to Mineola’s history. The tribute will commence at 11 a.m. at the Pavilion west of Mineola Union Pacific Depot.

The Lake Country Symphonic Band begins its 2019 season at the historic Select Theater in downtown Mineola. Shows begin at 2 p.m. on March 10 and 7:30 p.m. on March 12. Call the box office at 903-569-2300 to make your reservations.
