The Wood County Arboretum and Botanical Gardens is conducting its 2019 Spring Plant Sale from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Saturday, April 13 at the arboretum, 175 Governor Jim Hogg Parkway in Quitman.

The annual Mineola League of the Arts Fine Arts Show is scheduled for Friday and Saturday, April 12-13 at the MLOTA building, 200 W. Blair St. in Mineola.

The annual Wood Memorial Easter Egg Hunt will be at 2:30 p.m. Saturday, April 13 at 320 Greenville Ave. in Mineola. Everyone is welcome to come join in the fun.

Wood County Child Abuse Prevention & Victim Rights Candlelight Vigil will be held Tuesday, April 16, at 5:30 to 7 p.m. at Governor Jim Hogg City Park.

Special Olympics returns in style

Symphonic band presents Christmas concert

Come on over to Mineola’s beautiful Historic Select Theater and hear the Lake Country Symphonic Band’s Christmasy “Everything Christmas” concert.

Concerts are Sunday, Dec. 17, at 2 p.m. and Tuesday evening, Dec. 19, at 7:30 p.m. Mike Holbrook is back in the director’s seat, so it’s sure to be a fun-filled couple of hours.
