Ruby Taylor Partney

1936-2017

ALBA-Services for Ruby Partney, 81, Alba, are scheduled for Saturday at 10 a.m. at Wilson-Bartley Funeral Chapel, Alba with Rev. Clinnon Cole officiating.

Burial will follow at Salem Cemetery in Alba.

Mrs. Partney died March 24, 2017, in Tulsa, Oklahoma. She was born January 22, 1936, in Alba to Edgar and Lavernia Taylor and lived most of her life in Alba.

She was preceded in death by her parents; brother, James (Buddy) Taylor; sisters, Mollie Tool, Dorothy Hunter, Joyce Ann Henson, Johnnie Sue Bellomy; an infant son and infant daughters, Charlotte Ann Ross and Yvonne Glasscock.

Survivors include her husband, Richard Partney, Wilburton, Oklahoma; sons, Charles and Eddie Ray Ross, both of alba; daughters, Linda Hurley, Mineola, Brenda Dotson, Kaufman and Donna Ross of Rising Star; stepsons, Travis Partney, Denver, Colorado and Matt Thompson, Longview and many grand, great-grand and great-great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.

Special Olympics returns in style

Symphonic band presents Christmas concert

Concerts are Sunday, Dec. 17, at 2 p.m. and Tuesday evening, Dec. 19, at 7:30 p.m. Mike Holbrook is back in the director’s seat, so it’s sure to be a fun-filled couple of hours.
