Tresca taking softball skills to play at LeTourneau
Surrounded by family and teammates, Mineola senior Izzy Tresca was awarded a combined Dean’s Scholarship and Dual Credit Scholarship for higher education at LeTourneau University last Friday.
Tresca committed to playing softball for the LeTourneau Yellowjackets after a stellar career at Mineola High School.
Mineola softball coach Taelor Cheshier spoke earnestly about her former catcher. “I am so proud of Izzy for all her hard work not only on the softball field, but also in the classroom and community,” Cheshier remarked. She praised Tresca’s leadership, dedication, and integrity. “She is so deserving of this opportunity to continue her softball career,” Cheshire continued.
Tresca has been a stalwart of consistency behind the plate for the Lady Jackets. Her excellent talent as a catcher and power in the batter’s box shaped the nature of the Lady Jackets success on the softball diamond.
