Forgetting everything their mother ever told them about playing out in the rain the Mineola Yellowjackets – players and coaches – weren’t letting the precipitation stop them from their first day of practice. Midnight madness begins at 9 p.m. Friday. The volleyball team and cross country runners were also out running despite the, at times, heavy rain.
The rain did not stop new Athletic Director and Head Football Coach Bryan Oakes, his staff and the Quitman Bulldogs for the first day of extended workouts. The Bulldogs will be in shorts going over fundamentals before putting on the pads for live hitting action Friday.
