Wood County recorded its second and third deaths from COVID-19 in the last week.
The disease caused by the novel coronavirus claimed its first victim in the county on May 18.

Two more COVID-19 deaths reported for Wood County
Wood County recorded its second and third deaths from COVID-19 in the last week.
The disease caused by the novel coronavirus claimed its first victim in the county on May 18.
The second victim was announced on Friday, May 29 and third on Monday, June 1.
All three were located in the Winnsboro area.
As of Monday, the county had recorded 33 total cases, with 16 of those reported as having recovered.
Most of the cases have been in the Winnsboro area, which has had 15. Other ZIP codes include Mineola with eight, Quitman five, Yantis three and Hawkins and Big Sandy one each.
The cases are split with 16 males and 17 females, with 13 cases in the 41-59 age range, 10 from 60-79, four of 80-plus and five from 21-40.
All three deaths are reported as age 70 and up.
According to state reports, the county has had 420 residents tested for the disease as of Monday.
The county reported its first case on March 31. It reached 10 cases May 2 and jumped from 18 to 22 cases on May 19. It climbed from 29 to 33 on Monday.
