Kay Don Habbinga

ALBA-Kay Don Habbinga, 72, of Alba died September 19 at his home in Alba. A private memorial service will be held at a later date.

He was born September 25, 1943, in Lubbock to the late Henry and Opal Habbinga. He servied in the U.S. Marine Corps during the Vietnam War, was a member of American Legion, Disabled American Veterans, volunteered at the VA clinic in Lubbock for 20 years, among other activities. He was a member of First Baptist Church, Alba.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Survivors include his wife of 47 years, Claudia Habbinga, Alba; son, Mark Habbinga, Flower Mound; two daughters, Kayla Olson, Frisco and Wendi Pendleton, The Colony; brother Jackie Habbinga, Combine; sister, Lesa Ward, Concho, AZ and seven grandchildren.
