High School Junior Historians

The Mineola High School Junior Historians were named one of the 10 history clubs of the year in the United States by the National History Club. The club had been named to the list previously in 2015. The Junior Historians have served the community for 21 years. It is sponsored by the high school and the City of Mineola Landmark Commission. On front, from left, are Jonah Fischer, Melea Bedford, Kaleigh Sauer and Indy Renaud. In the back are Dalton Harris, Cameron Sorenson, Bailey Mischnick and Austin Witt. The club’s most notable projects were oral histories for the Smithsonian and the designation of Rockfield Cemetery as a Historic Texas Cemetery.
