Willis N. Brummett 1934-2019

Willis N. Brummett, 85, of Pickton, passed away on Sunday, Aug. 4, 2019. Willis was born on July 24, 1934 in Alba to Auther J. Brummett and Mozelle (Gaddis) Brummett. Mr. Brummett owned and operated W.B. Container in Balch Springs and was a member of Flora Masonic Lodge No. 119 in Quitman, member of the Eastern Star, Scottish Rite and the Lake Country Antique Tractor Club.

He was preceded in death by his parents; stepson, Justin Holder; and brothers, Junior, Tommy and Bill. Willis was also preceded in death by his four legged buddy Louie, who gave him many years of love and joy.

Mr. Brummett is survived by his wife, Lanell (Peters) Brummett; son, Darrell Mark Brummett; daughter Lacey Holland and husband Richard; grandchildren, Jacob, Rachel and Caleb; great-granddaughter, Mabry; and nephew, Mike Brummett and significant other Aleida.

A funeral for Willis was to be held on Wednesday, Aug. 7 at Beaty Funeral Home in Winnsboro with Bro. Mike Fletcher officiating. The family received friends for a time of visitation at 10 a.m. prior to the service. Burial followed the service at Myrtle Springs Cemetery in Quitman.
