The following Wood County Grand Jury indictments were handed down Monday, Sept. 29:

John Darin Backman, Beaumont, possession of a controlled substance (PCS) penalty group one (PG1) one gram or more but less than four, third degree felony, July 28, 2025.

Edwin Laforrest Henry, Mineola, engage in organized criminal activity, second degree felony; money laundering more than $2,500 and less than $30,000, state jail felony,  Jan. 3, 2024.

Jerri Ruth Brassfield, Winnsboro, credit or debit card abuse, state jail felony, May 4, 2024.

Cynthia Berrty Huddleston, Mineola, engage in organized criminal activity, second degree felony, Jan. 3, 2025; manufacture/delivery of a controlled substance PG3 less than 28 grams, state jail felony, July 28, 2025.

Joseph Gardner Chapman, Dallas, evading arrest/detention with a vehicle, third degree felony, July 5, 2025.

Damian Jarel Wooten, Mineola, engage in organized criminal activity, second degree felony; money laundering $30,000 or more but less than $150,000, third degree felony, Jan. 3, 2024; 

Bridgette Charlene Childress, forgery-fraud of another, elderly (three counts), third degree felony, July 10, 2025.

Brandon Cole Rodgers, Mineola, prohibited sexual conduct, third degree felony, Jan. 17, 2023; indecent assault, Class A misdemeanor; indecency with a child sexual contact, second degree felony, Dec. 25, 2024.

James Ryan Davis, Alba, assault causes bodily injury family violence with previous conviction, third degree felony, Sept. 14, 2025.

Cameron Cory Harwood, Hawkins, burglary of a building, state jail felony, Aug. 27, 2025.
