Wood County hits 80 COVID-19 cases with 55 recovered
In the final COVID-19 case count for the week for Wood County, the Northeast Texas Public Health District shows 80 total cases for the county with 55 recoveries and 20 active cases.
Deaths remain at five, with none reported in more than two weeks.
The state reports 911 residents have been tested from Wood County.
Texas Gov. Greg Abbott has ordered bars to close at noon today (Friday) and restaurants to scale back to 50% occupancy as of Monday to help slow the spread, with cases rising statewide.
