The 2021 Wood County Junior Livestock Show concluded its four-day run with the premium auction Saturday morning at the pavilion in Golden.

Antonio Ventura sold his grand champion steer to Brian Toliver Ford  for $4,500 to kick off the sale of 114 lots. Ventura is a member of the Mineola FFA.

Wood County Junior Livestock Show brings out the bidders on Saturday

The 2021 Wood County Junior Livestock Show concluded its four-day run with the premium auction Saturday morning at the pavilion in Golden.

Antonio Ventura sold his grand champion steer to Brian Toliver Ford  for $4,500 to kick off the sale of 114 lots. Ventura is a member of the Mineola FFA.

Kaden Morris of Mineola FFA sold the grand champion beef heifer for $4,000 to 4 Mason.

Emma Allen of the Winnsboro FFA sold her grand champion dairy heifer to Red Dome Smokehouse for $4,400.

The grand champion swine was sold by Brooke Lee of the Quitman FFA for $4,000 to Farm Bureau.

Katie Barber of the Hawkins FFA also sold her grand champion goat to Farm Bureau for $1,500.

The grand champion lamb of Madison Haney of the Hawkins FFA went to City National Bank for $1,900.

Luke Goforth of the Wood County 4-H sold the grand champion broilers to Big Country Farm Supply for $2,500.

The grand champion rabbits of Kelsey Newsom of Wood County 4-H went to Fisher, McMurphy and Associates for $1,800.

The grand champion ag mechanics project of Tanner Block of Mineola FGFA was sold for $2,000 to Seth’s Lake Fork Creek restaurant.

Bailee Bishop of the Alba-Golden FFA sold the reserve champion steer for $3,700 to Jack Robinson.

The reserve champion heifer of Sierra Williams of the Quitman FFA went to Pete Donohoe for $5,900.

Brooke Barrett of Yantis sold the reserve champion dairy heifer for $1,700 to Brian Toliver Ford.

Addison Glidewell of the Quitman FFA received $3,250 for her reserve champion hog to Red Dome Smokehouse.

Hayden Smith of the Hawkins FFA auctioned his reserve champion goat to Seth’s Lake Fork Creek for $1,500.

Rylee Dunn of Hawkins FFA earned $2,000 from Potts Feed Store and Red Dome Smokehouse for the reserve champion lamb.

Kaylie Roberts of the Mineola FFA sold her reserve champion poultry to Mineola Community Bank for $1,900.

The reserve champion rabbits of Marcela Flores of Quitman FFA received $1,400 from Seth’s Lake Fork Creek.

The reserve champion ag mechanics project of Marcus Pollard of the Quitman FFA received $3,000 from Pro Forma.
