Wood County reports first death from COVID-19
County Judge Lucy Hebron announced Monday afternoon that Wood County has recorded its first death from COVID-19, the disease caused by the novel coronavirus.

Wood County reports first death from COVID-19
County Judge Lucy Hebron announced Monday afternoon that Wood County has recorded its first death from COVID-19, the disease caused by the novel coronavirus.
Hebron also reported the number of confirmed cases has risen to 22. The count was 18 on Friday, which was the last report from the Northeast Texas Public Health District.
All but one, which was travel-related, have been through community spread.
The number of recoveries remained at 11 cases. The number of residents tested is 172 as of Monday.
According to NET Health the death was in the Winnsboro area.
No new cases were reported Tuesday. Recovered cases were increased to 13. The number of tests jumped to 209.
