Wood County Sheriff’s Department activities for April 24-11 were:

April 24 - Deputies responded to Firelight Lane near Hawkins at 12:27 a.m. on a disturbance and arrested Ryan Williams, 30, Hawkins, for assault causing bodily injury of family / household member – impeding breathing.

Deputies responded to a dispute on Highway 69 near Alba at 10:27 a.m. and talked to everyone involved, determining it was a civil matter.

A person on County Road 2100 reported a scam occurred near Quitman and deputies gave them advice.

Deputies responded to a report of a known person criminally trespassing on property to Highway 80 near Hawkins. This case has been forwarded to investigators.

A person on Overlake Knoll near Hawkins reported a fraud and deputies gave them advice.

The owner of property on Farm-to-Market 1795 near Hawkins reported someone stole two utility trailers from their property. This case has been forwarded to investigators.

A person on CR 4186 near Winnsboro reported a criminal mischief and deputies told them extra patrols would be provided.

There was an animal complaint on CR 1681 near Alba at 6:48 p.m. This case has been forwarded to investigators.

Deputies responded to a dispute on CR 2754 near Mineola at 7:14 p.m. and spoke with all parties involved.

A property owner on CR 3273 near Mineola reported a known person stole several items from their property. This case has been forwarded to investigators.

Deputies were dispatched to CR 3522 near Hawkins at 9:39 p.m. on a report of a disturbance. They searched, but didn’t find anyone.

Deputies responded to a report of a suspicious person on Highway 154 near Quitman at 10:34 p.m. They located the person and provided a courtesy transport.

April 23 – A person on Bent Bow Lane near Hawkins reported a terroristic threat was made. Deputies gave the reporting party advice.

Deputies responded to a disturbance on Highway 80 near Hawkins at 4:20 a.m. They arrested Kytaria Floyd, 18, for resisting arrest and Dejah Carr, 19, both of Dallas, for disorderly conduct as well as Jamila Nichols, 18, Houston, for disorderly conduct.

Deputies served a warrant on CR 3440 near Hawkins and arrested Jolynn Lynn Murphy, 58, Hawkins, for outstanding warrants for driving while intoxicated, 2nd offense, and possession of drug paraphernalia.

A person on CR 2791 near Mineola reported a fraud and deputies gave them advice.

Deputies responded to a dispute on Highway 69 near Alba at 11:23 a.m. and after talking to everyone involved, determined it was a civil matter.

A property owner on CR 2166 near Quitman reported a person they knew damaged their property. This case has been forwarded to investigators.

Deputies were dispatched to CR 2166 near Quitman at 12:59 p.m. on an assault. This has been forwarded to investigators.

Deputies spoke with a person about illegal dumping and told them that extra patrol would be provided.

Deputies were dispatched to a dispute on CR 4575 near Winnsboro at 6:16 p.m. and they talked to everyone involved.

April 22 - Deputies responded to a noise complaint on CR 3496 near Hawkins at 4:58 p.m. and told the people there to turn down their music.

Deputies responded to a report of criminal mischief on CR 3160 near Quitman and told the reporting party extra patrol will be provided.

A person on FM 1804 near Mineola reported a forgery and this has been forwarded to investigators.

April 21 - Deputies responded to a report of criminal trespass at Lake Winnsboro point at 6:58 a.m. They located the person and found everything was OK.

Deputies responded to a report of a fire on FM 2225 near Quitman at 1:23 p.m. The Quitman Fire Department extinguished the fire.

A property owner on Sells Street in Yantis reported a known person damaged their property, and deputies issued a criminal trespass warning.

Deputies served a warrant on Highway 11 near Winnsboro at 6:49 p.m. arresting Michael Roy Love, 45, of Winnsboro. He is charged with two counts of burglary and three counts of theft of property – one over $2,500 under $30,000 and two under $100.

Deputies served a assault causing bodily injury warrant on Bromberg Street in Mineola at 11:35 p.m. and arrested Judazon Wiggins, 29, of Mineola.

April 20 - Deputies responded to a report of suspicious circumstances to Sioux near Quitman at 1:38 p.m. and told the reporting person extra patrol would be provided.

Deputies served a warrant on Bermuda Street in Quitman arresting Tina Maria Brown, 56, of Winnsboro, for falsification of drug test results.

Deputies were dispatched to CR 3597 near Winnsboro at 3:36 p.m. on a report of a fire. When they arrived, it was determined the owners of the house just burned cookies and there was no fire.

A person on Geronimo near Quitman reported at 5:45 p.m. a terroristic threat had been made and deputies gave the reporting party advice.

Deputies responded to a disturbance on CR 4200 near Winnsboro at 7:23 p.m. The people involved were separated for the night.

Deputies responded to a disturbance on CR 1858 near Yantis at 9:04 p.m. and issued a criminal trespass warning to someone.

April 19 – A person on CR 4564 near Winnsboro reported a scam.

Deputies responded to CR 2650 near Mineola at 3:48 p.m. on a report of shots fired. They searched, but couldn’t find any activity.

A person on CR 3264 near Quitman reported a scam and deputies gave the reporting party advice.

Deputies responded to a report of a dispute on FM 2088 near Winnsboro at 10:36 p.m. and gave the reporting party advice.

April 18 – A person on FM 2088 near Winnsboro reported a scam and deputies gave them advice.

Deputies responded to an assault reported at 4:28 p.m. on CR 2922 near Alba and arrested Gaila Renee Murdock, 26, of Alba, for assault.

Deputies responded to a dispute on FM 2088 near Winnsboro at 10:07 p.m. and separated those involved for the night.

April 17 - Deputies served a warrant on Bermuda Street in Quitman and Jennifer Hunt, 33, Van, was arrested for outstanding warrants.

Deputies were dispatched to County Road 1994 near Yantis at 2:37 p.m. on a dispute but it turned out to be a civil matter.

At 6:02 p.m. a person on Farm-to-Market 852 near Winnsboro reported someone damaged their vehicle. This case has been forwarded to investigators.

Deputies responded to CR 1530 near Alba at 7:04 p.m. on a disturbance. The people involved were separated for the night.

Deputies responded to FM 1795 near Hawkins on a disturbance. Those involved were separated for the night.

April 16 - Deputies spoke with a person on Brazos Bend near Hawkins on a report of a scam and gave them advice.

Deputies were dispatched to FM 2225 near Quitman at 10:51 a.m. on a report of unauthorized use of a vehicle. Deputies spoke with all parties involved.

Deputies served a warrant on Bermuda Street in Quitman arresting Ricky Lynn Rushing, 62, Dallas, for motion to revoke, failure to appear on driving while intoxicated third or more offense.

A person on CR 2223 near Mineola reported at 2:42 p.m. a terroristic threat had been made. This case has been forwarded to investigators.

A person on CR 1590 near Alba reported at 10:08 p.m. an assault had occurred. This case has been forwarded to investigators.

An assault was reported on FM 852 near Winnsboro. Deputies arrested Leslie Ann Bruce, 38, Winnsboro, for assault causing bodily injury family violence.

April 15 - Deputies responded to a disturbance on CR 2632 near Mineola at 12:53 a.m. Those involved were separated for the night.

Deputies stopped a vehicle on traffic on Highway 154 near Quitman at 2:26 a.m. The person ran away and deputies began a pursuit. Johnny Kevin Crawford, 45, Quitman, was caught and transferred to a Tyler hospital due to previous health conditions. Warrants were issued on him for evading arrest, resisting arrest and driving while license invalid.

Deputies were dispatched to Suma near Quitman at 5:43 p.m. on an inquest. A 65-year-old man was found deceased in his residence. The justice of the peace was notified and no autopsy was ordered.

Deputies were dispatched to CR 1112 near Quitman on a report of shots fired. They searched but couldn’t find anyone shooting.

Deputies responded to FM 3056 near Hawkins on a report of an assault and arrested Amanda Loyd, 22, Hawkins, for assault.

April 14 - Deputies were dispatched to FM 779 near Mineola at 2:56 a.m. on a report of suspicious circumstances. Deputies secured the outside of the residence.

Deputies served a warrant on FM 2966 near Quitman, arresting Gwendolyn Rene Mallett, 56, Quitman, on the warrant for failure to appear on driving while intoxicated.

A person on Woodside Lane near Hawkins reported someone called them, claiming money was needed for a relative who was in jail. This case has been forwarded to investigators.

Deputies responded to a disturbance on CR 3540 near Hawkins and the people involved were separated for the night.

April 13 - Deputies were dispatched to CR 2700 near Mineola at 3:13 a.m. on a request for a welfare check and arrested Alisa Capetillo, 38, Friendswood, for disorderly conduct and resisting arrest.

Deputies responded to a disturbance on CR 1970 near Yantis and spoke with all parties involved.

Deputies were dispatched to CR 2482 near Mineola at 10:21 a.m. on a report of shots fired. They found the people were shooting at snakes.

A person on CR 2375 near Alba reported a scam and deputies gave the reporting party advice.

A theft was reported on CR 4490 near Winnsboro but it turned out to be a civil matter.

Deputies served a warrant on CR 2502 near Mineola arresting Staci Cole, 42, Mineola, on that warrant.

Deputies responded to CR 3147 near Quitman on a disturbance where an assault occurred. This case has been forwarded to investigators.

Deputies served a warrant on Highway 37 near Winnsboro arresting John Thomas Warren, 38, Winnsboro, on a warrant for failure to appear on a charge of injury to a child, elderly or disabled.

April 12 – A person on Private Road 8556 near Winnsboro reported someone stole several items from their residence. This case has been forwarded to investigators.

Deputies were dispatched to CR 4660 near Winnsboro on a disturbance and the people involved were separated for the day.

A person on CR 2791 near Mineola reported a terroristic threat had been made. This case has been forwarded to investigators.

A person on Firelight Lane near Hawkins reported a terroristic threat. This case has been forwarded to investigators.

April 11 - Deputies responded to a report of a suspicious vehicle on CR 3804 near Hawkins. The vehicle was located and towed by Joe’s Wrecker.

A person on PR 7543 near Hawkins reported a known person damaged their property and deputies issued that known person a citation.

Deputies responded to FM 2225 near Quitman on a dispute. The people involved were separated for the night.
