Wood County Sheriff’s Department activities on June 6 through June 12

June 12 – Deputies spoke with a person around 3:36 a.m. on suspicious circumstances on CR 3540 near Hawkins. The reporting party was advised to clear the incident.

A disturbance was reported around 6:30 a.m. to deputies in reference to a disturbance. All parties involved cleared the incident.

Deputies went out on an arrest/warrant service to FM 2088 near Quitman at about 10 a.m. They searched the area and were unable to make contact with the person

Following an arrest/warrant service Jennifer King, 36, of WiggleyStreet, Mineola, was arrested for an outstanding warrant.

Deputies received a reference to touristic threat on CR 2841 near Mineola at about 1:18 p.m. Deputies gave the reporting party advice and cleared the incident.

Deputies were dispatched to Indian Gap near Quitman around 3:58 p.m. in reference to a disturbance. Deputies spoke with all parties involved and left the scene.

At around 4:31 p.m. deputies received a report of reckless driver on FM 779. They searched the area but were unable to locate the vehicle.

Deputies received a report of disturbance on CR 1452 near Quitman about 6:17 p.m. Those involved were separated for the night.

A resident on CR 1670 near Alba reported a credit/debit card abuse at around 7:15 p.m. A known person was said to use the reporting party’s card without authorization. This case was forwarded to investigators.

A suspicious vehicle report on CR 3550 near Hawkins was reported to deputies about 7:21 p.m. After searching the area they were unable to locate the vehicle.

At 8:53, Crystal Martin, 36 of Mineola, was arrested by deputies on a traffic stop on FM 14 near Hawkins on outstanding warrants.

June 11 – At 9:07 a.m. deputies were dispatched to CR 2460 near Mineola in reference of a vehicle burglary. Unknown people stole a firearm from the reporting party’s vehicle. The case was forwarded to investigators.

Deputies received a report of theft on Hwy 154 near Quitman about 9:18 a.m. A known person stole cattle from the reporting party. The case was forwarded to investigators.

A suspicious vehicle on 3440 near Hawkins was reported at 1:47 p.m. Deputies located it and everything was OK.

Deputies spoke with a person at 1:48 p.m. in reference to suspicious circumstances on CR 1431 near Quitman. The deputies advised the reporting party that extra patrol would be provided.

June 10 – at about 12:31 a.m. deputies were dispatched to Rising Star near Quitman regarding a suicidal subject. A 70 year old person of Quitman was arrested for aggravated assault with deadly weapon.

James David, 42, Hawkins was arrested for unlawful possession of a firearm following a report of a suspicious person on CR 3820 near Hawkins was made to deputies at 2:43 A.M.

Deputies went out on arrest/warrant services on FM 2088 near Quitman about 10:46 a.m. and FM 2966 near Yantis at 11:11 a.m. They were unable to make contact with the individuals.

Deputies were dispatched to CR 4854 near Winnsboro about 12 p.m. in reference to a dispute. Deputies spoke with all parties involved and cleared the incident.

At about 3:05 p.m. deputies answered a welfare check on CR4530 near Winnsboro. The person was found and everything was OK.

Steven Ingram 31, Hawkins, was arrested on an outstanding warrant at approximately 4:15 p.m. when deputies went out on an arrest/warrant service to CR 3120.

Deputies were dispatched on FM 17 near Alba at around 4:41 p.m. in reference to a fire. Alba Fire Department extinguished the fire and the scene was cleared.

A criminal trespass report was make to deputies at 5:57 p.m. The deputies gave the reporting party advice and cleared the incident.

Kenneth Kratzmeyer, 28 of Hawkins was arrested for assault when deputies were dispatched to CR 3425 near Hawkins around 6:34 p.m. in reference to an assault.

Deputies were dispatched to FM 2659 near Hawkins around 9 p.m. in reference to theft. The reporting person said a known person stole several items from his property. The case was forwarded to investigators.

June 9 – Deputies were dispatched to Hwy 154 near Quitman around 12:13 a.m. in reference to a welfare check. They gave the person a courtesy transport and cleared the incident.

Susana Cortes, 27 of Quitman was arrested on outstanding warrants when deputies made a welfare check about 2:02 a.m. on Hwy 69 near Mineola.

Deputies spoke with the reporting party at approximately 12:05 p.m. in reference to criminal mischief. A know actor damaged the reporting party’s shed.

Deputies received a report of burglary about 12:11 p.m. on CR 3269. They spoke with the reporting party and cleared the incident.

Deputies were dispatched to CR4897 near Winnsboro on criminal mischief. Unknown person had damaged the reporting party’s mailbox.

A suspicious person report at Lake Holbrook beach about 4:57 p.m. Deputies located the person and cleared the scene.

Deputies were dispatched to FM 2869 near Hawkins around 6:34 p.m. in reference to suspicious circumstances. Deputies spoke with the reporting party and advised extra patrol would be provided.

At about 7:27 p.m. deputies were dispatched to CR 2163 near Quitman in reference to a noise complaint. Deputies spoke with all parties involved and cleared the incident

Deputies went to CR 3130 near Quitman about 7:56 p.m. in reference to suspicious circumstances. The suspicious activity was located and everything was OK.

At 9 p.m. on CR 3270 another suspicious circumstance was reported near Quitman. Deputies searched but were unable to locate any suspicious activity.

Deputies were dispatched to CR 4896 near Winnsboro around 8 p.m. in reference to an assault. The case was forwarded to investigators.

June 8 – A report of shots fired near CR 1995 near Yantis about 6:13 a.m. Deputies searched the area but found no activity.

Deputies went out on a welfare check on FM2869 near Hawkins around 6:33 a.m. They searched the area but were unable to locate the individual.

Deputies went out on an arrest/warrant service to CR 2290 near Mineola. At approximately 12:32 p.m. they searched the area but could not make contact with the person.

There was a welfare check request on Hwy 80 near Mineola about 1:02 p.m. Deputies located the person and everything was OK.

Deputies were dispatched to CR 2427 near Mineola around 5:35 p.m. on a welfare check. The person was located and everything was OK.

Deputies were dispatched to Lake Holbrook beach around 7:18 p.m. in reference to a reckless driver. Deputies searched but did not locate the vehicle.

Amber Thompkins, 37 of Flint was arrested for possession of Marijuana when deputies conducted a traffic stop on Hwy 80 near Mineola about 10:27 p.m.

June 7 – Deputies responded to a suspicious vehicle on CR 1943 near Yantis around 5:46 a.m. They located the vehicle and everything was OK.

Deputies were dispatched to FM 17 near Alba about 6:48 a.m. in reference to theft. Actors or actors unknown stole a cargo trailer full of wood cabinets from the reporting party’s property. The case was forwarded to investigators.

Deputies were dispatched to CR 3540 near Hawkins about 9:51 a.m. in reference to a dispute. Deputies determined it was a civil matter and cleared the incident.

Deputies were called in reference to an inquest. A 58 year old male was found deceased in his residence on FM 49 near Mineola about 1:03 p.m. The Justice of the Peace ordered an autopsy.

Deputies were dispatched to FM 2869 near Hawkins about 5:18 p.m. in reference to a disturbance. They transported an individual to the emergency room and cleared the incident.

Deputies dispatched to Hwy 69 near Mineola around :59 p.m. in reference to a fire. Alba and Mineola Fire Department extinguished the fire and the scene was cleared.

June 6 – Daniel Willi, 21 of Grand Saline was arrested for an outstanding warrant when deputies were dispatched to a disturbance on CR 2264 about 1:26 a.m.

A suspicious vehicle on CR 4583 near Winnsboro was reported about 2:42 a.m. Deputies searched the area but didn’t locate the vehicle.

Deputies spoke with the reporting parties in reference to a scam that occurred on CR 2223 near Mineola and Fm 2088 near Quitman.

Deputies were dispatched to Geronimo near Quitman about 10:35 a.m. in reference to harassment. They spoke with all parties involved and cleared the incident.

Deputies were dispatched to Loyd St., in Yantis at approximately 11:49 a.m. in reference to a theft. Unknown persons stole a security camera from the reporting party’s property. The case was forwarded to investigators.

Deputies were dispatched for a welfare check on FM 288 near Quitman about 12:36 p.m. The person was located and everything OK.

A reckless driver was reported deputies on Hwy 154 near Yantis about 1:59 p.m. Deputies searched the area and found no vehicle.

Deputies were dispatched to CR 2223 near Mineola about 2 p.m. in reference to a welfare check. The person was located and everything OK.

Deputies spoke with the reporting party about 2:47 p.m. about a criminal trespass on PR 7908 near Hawkins. Deputies gave the reporting party advice and left the scene.

Deputies were dispatched to CR 4960 near Quitman about 3 p.m. in reference to a theft. Unknown people stole several items. The case was forwarded to investigators.

Deputies went to CR 1460 near Quitman about 5:48 p.m. on a disturbance call. The case was forwarded to investigators.

Deputies received a call about 6:13 p.m. to Lake Hawkins point regarding a welfare check. The person was found and everything OK.

Deputies were dispatched to CR 1900 near Yantis at about 7:02 p.m. in reference to theft. A known person stole and dumped the reporting party’s motorcycle. The case was forwarded to investigators.

Deputies were dispatched to Hwy 182 near Quitman around 7:28 p.m. on a burglary. A known person stole several items from the reporting party. The case was forwarded to investigators.

Deputies spoke to the reporting party at about 9:17 p.m. in reference to harassment on CR 3640 near Hawkins. Deputies gave the person advice and left the scene.

Deputies received a call of suspicious circumstances on FM 49 near Hawkins about 9:29 p.m. The person fled the scene before deputies arrived

Deputies were dispatched to Hwy 37 near Mineola around 10:56 p.m. in reference to a reckless driver. Deputies located the vehicle and issued a warning.
