Wood County Sheriff’s Department Report of Oct. 24-30.

OCT. 30 – At 2:52 a.m. Tyler Huff, 23, of Mineola was arrested for an outstanding warrant.

Deputies were dispatched to CR 1418 near Quitman around 9:19 in reference to suspicious circumstances. They searched but were unable to locate any suspicious activity.

Deputies were dispatched to CR 4890 near Winnsboro around 2:25 p.m. on a criminal trespass. The searched but were unable to locate the person.

Deputies were dispatched to CR 2311 near Mineola about 4:11 p.m. to a dispute. They spoke with all people involved and cleared the incident.

Deputies were dispatched to FM 49 near Mineola around 6:04 p.m. to a welfare check. They located the person and provided a courtesy transport.

Deputies went on an arrest/warrant service to FM 69 near Como about 8 p.m. They searched but did not make contact with the person.

Deputies were dispatched to FM 49 near Mineola around 8:15 p.m. in reference to suspicious circumstances. They searched but were unable to locate any suspicious activity.

Deputies went on an arrest/warrant service to Wigley Street in Mineola about 8:33 p.m. They searched but could not make contact with the person.

Deputies spoke with the reporting person at about 8:52 p.m. in reference to terroristic threat that occurred on Hwy 80 near Hawkins. They gave the reporting person advice and cleared the incident.

Deputies were dispatched to CR 4200 near Winnsboro about 9:13 p.m in reference to suspicious circumstances. They located the suspicious activity and everything was OK.

OCT. 29 - Deputies responded to a suspicious person on Hwy 11 near Winnsboro at around 12:08 a.m. They located the person and everything was OK.

Deputies were dispatched to HWY 80 near Mineola about 4:25 a.m. for a welfare check. They located the person and everything was OK.

Deputies spoke with the reporting person at approximately 9:37 a.m. in reference to a scam that occurred on Hwy 154 hear Quitman. They gave the person advice and cleared the incident.

Deputies were dispatched to CR 2330 near Mineola around 12:36 p.m. to a dispute. They spoke with all people involved and cleared the incident.

Deputies were dispatched to Hwy 80 near Hawkins about 1:19 on an assault. The case is active.

Deputies spoke with the reporting person about 1:46 p.m. on harassment that occurred on FM 2869 near Winnsboro. They gave the person advice and cleared the incident.

Deputies were dispatched to CR 1960 near Yantis about 3:27 p.m. on shots fires. They searched the area but were unable to locate any activity.

Deputies spoke with a person at about 6:51 p.m. on terroristic threat on CR 3594 near Hawkins. The case is active.

Deputies were dispatched to Hwy 80 near Hawkins about 11:52 p.m. on drug offenses. Jarvis security found several narcotics on the property. The case was forwarded to investigators.

OCT. 28 – Deputies were dispatched to Hwy 80 near Mineola about 12:14 a.m. on a welfare check. They searched but unable to locate the person.

Deputies were dispatched to CR 3281 near Quitman about 3:20 a.m. on suspicious circumstances. They located the suspicious activity and everything was OK.

Deputies responded to a suspicious vehicle on CR 3832 near Hawkins about 3:22 a.m. They located the vehicle and it was towed.

Deputies responded to a suspicious vehicle on FM 2088 near Winnsboro about 9:37 a.m. They located the vehicle and everything was OK.

Deputies were dispatched to CR 2546 near Mineola about 12:44 p.m. to a welfare check. They located the person and everything was OK.

Deputies were dispatched to FM 49 near Mineola about 2:23 p.m. to a dispute. Those involved were separated for the day.

Deputies were dispatched to CR 2275 near Mineola about 3:03 p.m. to shots fired. They searched but did not locate any activity.

Kevin Erwin, 41 of Winona was arrested about 6:49 p.m. for unlawful possession of firearm by felon when deputies were dispatched to CR 3450 near Hawkins about 6:49 p.m. on a criminal trespass.

Deputies were dispatched to FM 1795 near Hawkins about 7:39 p.m. in reference to a welfare check. They located the person and everything was OK.

Deputies responded to a suspicious vehicle on Hwy 154 near Quitman about 10:36 p.m. They located the vehicle and cleared the scene.

OCT. 27 – Deputies responded to a suspicious vehicle on Lake Hawkins point about 1:37 a.m. The located the vehicle and everything was OK.

Deputies were dispatched to FM 1254 near Mineola about 2:34 a.m. on a welfare check. Deputies found the person and everything things was OK.

Deputies were dispatched to CR 3230 near Quitman about 9:28 a.m. in reference to welfare check. Everything was OK.

Deputies were dispatched to CR 3495 near Hawkins about 11:44 a.m. in reference to an inquest. A 55 year old man was found deceased in his residence. The Justice of the Peace arrived and no autopsy was ordered.

Deputies were dispatched to Hwy 37 near Winnsboro about 2:30 p.m. in reference to a burglary. Someone stole several items from the person’s residence. The case was forwarded to investigators.

Deputies were dispatched to CR 1835 near Yantis about 5:51 p.m. on welfare check. Everything was OK.

Deputies were dispatched to Alba Golden School about 6:34 p.m. on an alarm. They decided it was an accident and the incident was cleared.

Deputies were dispatched to FM 2088 near Winnsboro about 9:33 p.m. on a reckless driver. They were unable to locate the vehicle.

Deputies were dispatched on CR 2140 near Quitman about 9:36 p.m. on a dispute. All separated before the deputies’ arrival.

Deputies were dispatched to Holly Trail near Hawkins about 9:52 p.m. on a disturbance. Deputies spoke with all involved and cleared the incident.

Deputies responded to a suspicious person on Hwy 80 near Mineola about 11:12 p.m. They searched but were unable to locate the person.

Deputies were dispatched to CR 1600 near Alba about 11:14 p.m. on a noise complaint. Deputies told the individuals to lower the volume and cleared the incident.

OCT. 26 – Deputies were dispatched to CR 2632 near Mineola around 7:02 a.m. to criminal trespass. Deputies were unable to locate the person.

Deputies were dispatched to Hwy 80 near Hawkins about 10:24 a.m. on an assault. The case was forwarded to investigators.

Deputies dispatched to PR 7908 near Hawkins about 11:41 on a welfare check. Everything was OK.

Deputies were dispatched to CR 1700 near Yantis about 4:37 p.m. on a reckless driver. They were unable to locate the vehicle.

Deputies responded to a suspicious vehicle on Hwy 154 near Quitman about 9:31 p.m. they searched but did not locate the vehicle.

Deputies were dispatched to CR 2840 near Mineola about 11:39 p.m. on a dispute. Those involved separated prior to the deputies’ arrival.

OCT. 25 – Deputies were dispatched to CR 3440 near Hawkins around 4:31 on a theft. Someone stole a trailer and an ATV from the reporting person’s property. The case was forwarded to investigators.

Deputies were dispatched to CR 1970 near Yantis about 8:40 a.m. on a theft. Someone stole several items from the person’s property. The case was forwarded to investigators.

Deputies responded to a suspicious vehicle on CR 2140 near Quitman about 11:39 a.m. The vehicle was located and everything OK.

Deputies were dispatched to FM 17 near Yantis about 2:32 p.m. on theft. Someone stole a boat from the person’s property. The case was forwarded to investigators.

Deputies were dispatched to CR 1336 near Quitman about 5:45 p.m. to a dispute. A person was taken by EMS to the hospital and the scene was cleared.

Deputies responded to a suspicious vehicle on FM 14 near Hawkins about 9:18 p.m. Everything was OK.

Deputies responded to a suspicious vehicle on Hwy 154 near Yantis about 9:34 p.m. They did not locate the vehicle.

Deputies responded to a suspicious person on Hwy 154 near Yantis about 10:04 p.m. They did not locate the person.

OCT 24 – Deputies responded to a suspicious person on FM 82 near Winnsboro about 6:37 a.m. The person was located and was provided a courtesy transport.

Deputies spoke with the reporting party at about 11:16 a.m. on a harassment that occurred on CR 4560 near Winnsboro. Deputies gave the reporting person advice and cleared the incident.

Deputies were dispatched to Main Street in Yantis at about 5:04 p.m. on theft. A known person stole a gallon of tea from the reporting person’s store. The person was located and issued a citation.

Deputies were dispatched to HWY 80 near Hawkins about 5:20 p.m. to a reckless driver. They were unable to locate the vehicle.

Deputies responded to a suspicious person on PR 8563 near Winnsboro about 8:10 p.m. They searched but did not locate the person.

Deputies were dispatched to CR 2140 near Quitman at about 10:41 on a noise complaint. They searched the area but did not locate any activity.
