Wood County Sheriff report Sept. 19 thru Sept. 25:

Sept. 25 – Deputies responded to a suspicious person on FM 14 near Hawkins at 1:29 a.m. They located the person and the case is active.

Deputies responded to a suspicious vehicle on FM 69 near Alba at 1:39 a.m. They located the vehicle and everything was OK.

Deputies were dispatched to CR 4591 near Winnsboro at 7:53 a.m. in reference to shots fired. Deputies spoke with all parties and cleared the incident.

Deputies were dispatched to CR 2724 near Mineola at 10:10 a.m. in reference to theft. Actors or actors unknown stole several firearms from the reporting party’s property. The case has been forwarded to investigators.

Deputies were dispatched to CR 3476 near Hawkins at about 10:18 a.m. in reference to burglary of a vehicle. Actors or actors unknown broke into the reporting party’s vehicle and stole several items. The case was sent to investigators.

Deputies were dispatched to Cheyenne near Quitman at about 12:33 p.m. in reference to suspicious circumstances. They spoke with the reporting person and cleared the incident.

At approximately 1:01 p.m. deputies went on an arrest/warrant service to Johnson Street in Yantis. Lance Penney 32, of Yantis was arrested for an outstanding warrant.

Deputies spoke with the reporting person at approximately 2:06 p.m. in reference to scam that occurred on CR 4460 near Winnsboro. They gave the reporting person advice and cleared the incident.

Deputies were dispatched to CR 3440 near Hawkins at about 6:36 p.m. in reference to a burglary. Actors or actors unknown broke into the reporting person’s residence but noting appeared to be missing.

Deputies were dispatched to CR 3277 near Quitman at about 9:21 p.m. in reference to an assault. Deputies spoke with everyone involved and cleared the incident.

Sept. 24 – Deputies responded to a suspicious person on FM 1801 near Mineola at about 7:49 a.m. They located the person and cleared the area.

Deputies were dispatched to Hwy. 69 near Alba at about 8:12 a.m. in reference to a reckless driver. They searched the area but were unable to local the vehicle.

Deputies were dispatched to FM 2869 near Hawkins at 9:05 a.m. in reference to criminal mischief. Deputies advised the reporting party that extra patrol would be provided.

Deputies went on an arrest/warrant service to PR 6254 near Mineola at about 9:08 a.m. They searched the area but were unable to make contact with the person.

Deputies responded to a suspicious person near Lake Quitman beach area at around 10:39 a.m. They located the person and cleared the incident.

Deputies were dispatched to FM 1254 near Mineola at around 11:42 a.m. in reference to an inquest. A female, 59 was found deceased in her residence. The Justice of the Peace was notified and an autopsy was ordered.

At about 4:18 p.m. deputies responded to a suspicious vehicle on CR 2350 near Mineola. They located the vehicle and everything was OK.

Deputies were dispatched to FM 515 near Yantis at about 6:45 p.m. in reference to a welfare check. They provided a courtesy transport and cleared the area.

Deputies were dispatched to CR 2117 near Quitman at approximately 7:45 p.m. in reference to a reckless driver. They searched but were unable to locate the vehicle.

Veronica Rios, 22 of Leesburg was arrested for possession of Marijuana when deputies made a traffic stop on Hwy 11 near Winnsboro at 8:40 p.m.

Deputies spoke with a person reporting to harassment that occurred on FM 2869 near Hawkins at about 8:50 p.m. They gave the reporting person advice and cleared the incident.

Lane Ogle, 20 of Quitman was arrested for assault at about 9:28 p.m. when deputies were dispatched to Hwy 37 near Quitman on a disturbance.

Deputies were dispatched to FM 515 near Quitman around 9:29 p.m. in reference to a burglary. Actors or actors unknown stole two guitars from the reporting person’s property. The case was forwarded to investigators.

Deputies were dispatched to PR 8692 near Winnsboro at 10:06 p.m. in reference to a welfare checked located the person and everything was OK.

At approximately 11:31 deputies were dispatched to CR 3482 near Hawkins in reference to suspicious circumstances. They located an abandoned vehicle and it was towed.

Sept. 23 – Deputies responded to a suspicious vehicle on CR 2620 near Mineola at about 1:20 a.m. The searched the area, but were unable to locate the vehicle.

Deputies were dispatched to Walnut Street in Yantis at about 1:50 a.m. in reference to a disturbance. They spoke to all people involved and cleared the incident.

Deputies responded to a suspicious vehicle on FM 1801 near Mineola at about 2:19 a.m. The located the vehicle and everything was OK

Deputies were dispatched to PR 7865 near Hawkins at about 11:22 a.m. in reference to theft. A known actor stole an extension ladder from the person’s property and the case was forwarded to investigators.

Deputies were dispatched to CR 3164 near Quitman at about 3:50 p.m. in reference to a disturbance. They issued a criminal trespass warning and cleared the incident.

At about 2:34 p.m. deputies were dispatched to CR 2880 near Mineola in reference to criminal trespass. They located the people and advised them it was private property.

At around 6:43 p.m. Ruben Rodriguez, 37 of Mineola was arrested for possession of Marijuana when deputies conducted a traffic stop on FM 2088 near Winnsboro.

Deputies were dispatched to Hwy 80 near Hawkins at around 7:49 p.m. in reference to an assault that occurred. Brian Shelby, 18 of Dallas was arrested for assault causes bodily injury. zunte McClenton, 18 of Dallas was arrested for assault causes bodily injury, Rodrell Jackson-Moore, 19 of Dallas and Trevon Thomas 18 of Dallas were arrested for the same offence.

Sept.. 22 – Deputies were dispatched to Hwy 80 near Hawkins at about 1:16 a.m. in reference to a disturbance. Everyone had separated before deputies arrived.

Deputies were dispatched to FM 852 near Winnsboro at about 10:25 a.m. in reference to criminal trespass. They spoke with everyone involved and the case was forwarded to investigators.

Deputies were dispatched to CR 1247 near Quitman at about 12:03 p.m. in reference to theft. Someone known or not known stole several items from the reporting party’s client. The case has been forwarded to investigators.

Deputies were dispatched to PR 5551 near Alba at about 12:37 p.m. in reference to a disturbance. They spoke with all involved and cleared the incident

Deputies were dispatched on FM 2966 near Quitman at about 1:09 p.m. in reference to a welfare check. They located the person and everything was OK.

An abandoned vehicle on Holiday village Drive near Quitman was reported at about 3:27 p.m. Deputies gave the reporting person advice and cleared the incident.

Deputies were dispatched to CR 3440 near Hawkins around 3:36 p.m. in reference to a disturbance. The located the people and everything was OK.

Sept. 21 – Deputies were dispatched to CR 2660 near Mineola at about 3:14 a.m. in reference to an as assault. Rodrick Martin, 39 of Mineola was arrested for assault causes bodily injury, family/household member by impeding breath/circulation with previous conviction.

Deputies were dispatched to CR 2935 near Alba at about 10:23 a.m. in reference to a theft. A known person rented construction equipment from the reporting person and did not return it. The case was forwarded to investigators.

Deputies were dispatched to CR 2111 near Quitman at about 11:16 a.m. in reference to a burglary. Actors, known or unknown stole jewelry from the reporting person’s residence. The case was forwarded to investigators.

Deputies spoke with the reporting party about 11:55 a.m. in reference to a scam on PR 5881 near Yantis. They gave the reporting party advice and cleared the incident.

Deputies spoke with a person reporting a fraud that occurred on FM 2869 near Hawkins at about 12:04 p.m. They gave the reporting person advice and cleared the incident.

Deputies responded to a suspicious person on Hwy 37 near Mineola around 3:27 p.m. They located the person and everything was OK.

Deputies were dispatched to Hwy 69 near Alba around 4:26 p.m. in reference to a reckless driver. They located the vehicle and everything was OK.

Deputies were dispatched to CR 1515 near Alba around 4:58 p.m. in reference to criminal trespass. They searched the area but did not locate anyone.

Deputies were dispatched to CR 2150 near Quitman at about 8:24 p.m. in reference to shots fired. They searched the area, but did not locate any activity.

At around 9:31 p.m. deputies responded to a suspicious vehicle on Hwy 80 near Hawkins. The located the vehicle and everything was OK.

At about 10:25 p.m. deputies separated parties for the night when dispatched to a dispute.

Sept. 20 – Deputies responded to a suspicious vehicle on FM 779 near Alba at about 1:41 a.m. They located the vehicle and everything was OK.

Deputies responded to a suspicious vehicle on CR 3858 near Winnsboro around 2:43 a.m. They located the vehicle and cleared the area.

Cody Pyron, 22 of Winnsboro was arrested about 7:21 a.m. when deputies were dispatched to CR 4200 near Quitman for criminal mischief and assault causes bodily injury.

Deputies were dispatched to Hwy 80 near Hawkins at about 11:03 a.m. in reference for assault. They spoke with everyone involved and cleared the incident.

At 11:13 a.m. deputies responded to a suspicious vehicle on CR 1970 near Yantis. They searched the area but were unable to locate it.

Deputies were dispatched to CR 4430 near Winnsboro at about 11:17 a.m. in reference to an assault. The case was forwarded to investigators.

At 2:50 p.m. Joshua Scott, 26 of Alba was arrested for assault causes bodily injury family violence when deputies were dispatched to FM 779 near Alba.

Deputies spoke with a person at approximately 3:26 p.m. in reference to a theft on FM 17 near Yantis. They gave the reporting person advice and cleared the incident.

At about 8:15 p.m. deputies spoke with a person in reference to criminal mischief that occurred on CR 1917 near Yantis. Someone damaged the person’s vehicle.

Sept. 19 – Deputies responded to a suspicious vehicle on FM 14 near Quitman around 3:18 a.m. They located the vehicle and everything was OK.

Deputies were dispatched to Holiday Village Dr. near Quitman around 3:19 a.m. in reference to a burglary. They searched the area but did not find any signs of burglary or theft.

Deputies responded to a suspicious person on CR 1210 near Quitman around 4 a.m. they located the person and everything was OK.

Deputies were dispatched to CR 2540 near Mineola around 6:31 a.m. in reference to a dispute. Tabitha Crow, 27 of Mineola was arrested for assault causes bodily injury family violence.

Deputies were dispatched to FM 2088 near Quitman at around 7:44 a.m. in reference to a dispute. Those involved were separated for the day.

Deputies spoke with the reporting person at 11:12 a.m. in reference to harassment that occurred on CR 3250 near Quitman. They gave the person advice and cleared the incident.

Deputies were dispatched to Loop 564 near Mineola around 11:13 a.m. in reference to a welfare check. They located the person and everything was OK.

At around 1:46 p.m. deputies were dispatched to Fm 2869 near Hawkins in reference to theft. A known person stole several items from the reporting person’s store. The case was forwarded to investigators.

Deputies were dispatched to Hwy 69 near Mineola around 2:22 p.m. in reference to a dispute. They issued a criminal trespass warning and cleared the incident.

Deputies were dispatched to CR 3540 near Hawkins at around 4:14 p.m. in reference to criminal trespass. They issued a criminal trespass warning and cleared the area. The case was forwarded to investigators.

Deputies were dispatched to FM 779 near Alba at around 7:21 p.m. in reference to a welfare check. Deputies located the person and everything was OK.

Deputies were dispatched to Hwy 37 near Mineola around 8:19 p.m. in reference to a theft. A known person stole a travel trailer frame from the reporting person. The case was forwarded to investigators.
