Deputies were dispatched to FM 288 near Quitman, at 12:37 p.m., for criminal trespass. Jeffrey Mitchell, 43, of Yantis, was arrested for burglary of vehicle, criminal trespass of a habitation/shelter/Superfund site/infrastructure facility.

Deputies were dispatched to CR 3220 near Quitman, at 1:22 p.m., for criminal trespass. Actors, or actors unknown, damaged the reporting party’s property. This case is active.

APRIL 25

Deputies were dispatched to PR 5807 near Yantis, at 10:04 a.m., for an inquest. A male, 64, was found deceased in his residence. The justice of the peace was notified and no autopsy was ordered.

Deputies were dispatched to CR 1895 near Yantis, at 11:31 a.m., for criminal mischief. A known actor damaged the reporting party’s property.

Deputies were dispatched to CR 3880 near Mineola, at 9:51 a.m., for criminal trespass. Deputies advised the reporting party that extra patrol would be provided.

Deputies were dispatched to CR 1970 near Yantis, at 9:59 p.m., for an abandoned vehicle. Deputies located the vehicle and cleared the incident.

Deputies were dispatched to CR 3540 near Hawkins, at 12:48 a.m., for a disturbance. Stacy Davlin, 46, of Hawkins, was arrested for deadly conduct.

Deputies were dispatched to CR 2768 near Mineola, at 6:17 a.m., for a dispute. Deputies spoke with all parties involved and cleared the incident.

Deputies were dispatched to CR 3234 near Quitman, at 9:41 a.m., for an alarm. Deputies located an open door but were unable to locate any signs of theft. The building was secured and the incident was cleared.

Deputies were dispatched to Pine Needle Glen near Hawkins, at 1:53 a.m., for a possible assault. Deputies spoke with all parties involved and cleared the incident.

Deputies were dispatched to HWY 154 near Yantis, at 6:24 a.m., for a scam. Actors, or actors unknown, put a credit card skimmer device on one of the reporting party’s gas pumps. This case has been forwarded to investigators.

Deputies were dispatched to FM 2869 near Hawkins, at 8:57 a.m., for a burglary. A known actor was at the reporting party’s property without authorization. This case has been forwarded to investigators.

APRIL 29

Deputies were dispatched to HWY 80 near Hawkins, at 2:19 a.m., for a disturbance. Tyquan Smith, 30, of Arlington, was arrested for failure to identify.

Deputies were dispatched to CR 1840 near Yantis, at 10:18 a.m., for a theft. Actors, or actors unknown, stole several items from the reporting party’s property. This case has been forwarded to investigators.

Deputies were dispatched to Elmwood Lane near Hawkins, at 12:43 p.m., for an assault. This case has been forwarded to investigators.

Deputies conducted a traffic stop on FM 2869 near Hawkins, at 2:23 p.m. Shannon Jacobs, 47, of Hawkins, was arrested for Possession of a Controlled Substance.

Deputies were dispatched to FM 2869 near Hawkins, at 3:39 p.m., for criminal trespass. Deputies issued a criminal trespass warning and cleared the incident.

Deputies spoke with the reporting party, at 11:02 p.m.,for harassment on CR 2689 near Mineola. Deputies gave the reporting party advice and cleared the incident.

APRIL 30

Deputies were dispatched to CR 4730 near Winnsboro, at 9:52 a.m., for criminal trespass. Deputies issued a criminal trespass warning and cleared the incident.

Deputies were dispatched to Little River Bend near Quitman, at 10:32 a.m., for an assault that occurred. Christopher Dalton, 46, of Quitman, was arrested for Assault.

Deputies spoke with the reporting party, at 11:20 a.m., for theft of service on HWY 11 near Winnsboro. A known actor was paid for work that did not get done. This case has been forwarded to investigators.

Deputies were dispatched to FM 2869 near Hawkins, at 12:04 p.m., for an assault that occurred. This case has been forwarded to investigators.

Deputies went on arrest/warrant service to CR 3203 near Quitman; at 1:59 p.m. Franklin Waddell, 65, of Quitman, was arrested for an outstanding warrant.

Deputies conducted a traffic stop on CR 1306 near Quitman; at 3:41 p.m. George Jacobs, 62, of Quitman, was arrested for Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. Cleta Turner, 47, of Alba, was arrested for Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.

Between April 24 and April 30, Wood County Sheriff’s Deputies responded to multiple agency assists that included the following: Waxahachie Police Department, Hopkins County Sheriff’s Office, Mineola Police Department, Emergency Medical Services, Quitman Police Department and Van Zandt County Regional Medical Center.

Between April 24 and April 30, Wood County Sheriff’s Investigators obtained one arrest warrant and arrested the individual and filed three cases with the District Attorney.

Total jail count – 113 inmates – 90 males and 23 females.
