2:51 a.m. Deputies went on an arrest/warrant service to FM 14 near Quitman; Christopher Dalton, 46, of Quitman, was arrested for an outstanding warrant.

8:36 a.m. Deputies were dispatched to FM 852 near Winnsboro concerning an inquest. A male, 84, was found deceased at his residence. The justice of the peace ordered no autopsy.

1:15 p.m. Deputies were dispatched to County Road 1475 in Como about a disturbance. After speaking with both parties, they arrested Dustin McClenny, 23, of Como for assault causes bodily injury family violence.

3:24 p.m., Deputies were dispatched to County Road 1700 in Yantis about criminal mischief.  he suspect intentionally drove toward and rammed the driver’s side mirror of the complainant. This case will be forwarded to investigators.

9:54 p.m. Deputies spoke with the reporting party regarding a dispute. Deputies determined this to be a civil matter and provided a courtesy transport to one of the individuals.

Dec. 26

2:14 a.m. Deputies were dispatched to County Road 3848 in Hawkins concerning a possible burglary in progress. An unknown individual entered one of the complainant’s residences and attempted to enter another residence. Both complainants requested that the individual be issued a criminal trespass warning which was done. Shortly afterward, this subject went back to the same property, and Michael Voight, 34, of Hawkins, was arrested for criminal trespass.

8:58 a.m. Deputies were dispatched to FM 14 in Hawkins about a possible criminal trespass. The individual was located later and determined to have outstanding warrants. Thomas Lewis, 24, was arrested at 9:56 a.m. for outstanding warrants.

10:42 a.m. Deputies were dispatched to Holly Lake Ranch regarding a missing person. Complainant reported her juvenile child as a runaway. The child returned home later the next day.

11:06 a.m. Deputies were dispatched to Highway 37 in Quitman regarding criminal mischief. A known person damaged the complainant’s mailbox and agreed to compensate for damages.

1:06 p.m. Deputies spoke to the reporting party requesting advice regarding the process of filing for a restraining order.

4:16 p.m. Dispatch forwarded a phone call to a deputy regarding unauthorized use of a motor vehicle.  The reporting party did not give permission to the subject to take the vehicle and wished to pursue charges. This case has been forwarded to investigators.

4:35 p.m. Dispatch forwarded a call to a deputy regarding phone harassment. The reporting party forwarded screen shots of messages he had received from the other person. He requested that this be documented in case of further issues.

5:43 p.m. Deputies were dispatched to County Road 1236 in Quitman regarding someone going through their mailbox. Nothing appeared to be missing, but extra patrol will be provided.

7:05 p.m. Deputies were dispatched on a suspicious vehicle call. They located and assisted a motorist with a disabled vehicle at Highway 69 and 2275 and cleared the incident.

9:56 p.m. Deputies were dispatched to County Road 1858 in Yantis regarding a disturbance. After talking with both parties, they were separated for the night and deputies cleared the incident.

Dec. 27

8:38 a.m. Deputies were contacted by a complainant reporting stolen property. He stated he knew who had taken the items but did not want charges filed. He wanted the person to be issued a criminal trespass warning. The subject was later located and issued the warning.

10:45 a.m. Deputies met with an individual in the Sheriff’s Office about a theft. The party reported his pistol had been stolen from his vehicle the previous day. This case has been forwarded to investigators.

10:25 a.m. Deputies met with an individual in the Sheriff’s Office to report a sexual assault 2015 in Hawkins. She did not wish to pursue the case and wanted to document the incident. This case has been forwarded to investigators for review.

11:47 a.m. Rocky McDaniel, 41, of Tyler, was arrested for outstanding warrants after deputies conducted a traffic stop on FM 14 .

12:26 p.m. Deputies were dispatched to County Road 1226 in Quitman concerning an inquest. A male, 59, was found deceased at his residence. The justice of the peace ordered no autopsy.

12:59 p.m. Deputies were dispatched to Loop 564 in reference to an abandoned vehicle. Deputies located the vehicle and cleared the incident.

3:31 p.m. Deputies were dispatched to FM 14 for a traffic hazard. Deputies located the hazard, removed it and cleared the incident.

6:17 p.m. Deputies were dispatched to FM 515 in Winnsboro regarding a dispute. Deputies spoke with the parties involved and cleared the incident.

6:47 p.m. Deputies were dispatched to County Road 1475 in Yantis regarding a protective order violation.  Deputies confirmed that the individual had violated the order but was not located. This case is forwarded to investigators.

9:51 p.m. Deputies were dispatched to Hwy. 80/3750 regarding a suspicious vehicle. Deputies located the vehicle belonging to an individual who was hunting and deputies cleared the incident.

11:45 p.m. Deputies were dispatched to Hwy. 37/4830 on a report of an abandoned vehicle. The vehicle was located and deputies cleared the incident.

Dec. 28

12:18 a.m. Deputies were dispatched to Lake Holbrook on a report of a suspicious vehicle. Deputies located the vehicle belonging to an individual who was fishing and cleared the incident.

2:41 a.m. Deputies conducted a traffic stop on Hwy. 69 at Loop 564 in Mineola. William Uptmor, 39, of Eustace was arrested for possession of controlled substance and unlawful carrying of a weapon. Russell Hewitt, 23, of Deming, N.M., was arrested for possession of controlled substance.

10:16 a.m. Deputies were dispatched to FM 49 in Mineola regarding an animal complaint. Deputies helped extricate a dog that had his collar caught on a fence.

12:45 p.m. Deputies were dispatched to PR 6882 in Mineola regarding a dog being shot and killed. The reporting party stated that her dog had gone missing and a neighbor had indicated that it might be dead.  Another party came to her days later to tell her that her dog had been found dead. The deputy located the dog and it had, in fact, been shot. Deputies will follow up on this situation.

6:06 p.m. Deputies were dispatched to County Road 2166 in Quitman regarding a terroristic threat. Deputies determined that the reporting party was attempting to make a false report and cleared the incident.

10:42 p.m. Deputies conducted a traffic stop at on FM 49 at County Road 2632 in Mineola. Richard Voyles, 34, of Mineola, was arrested for driving while intoxicated.

11:57 p.m. Deputies were dispatched to the Neon Moon in Yantis regarding criminal mischief. The reporting party stated that there were two patrons who began causing trouble and damage to the building. He stated that he would like them to issue a criminal trespass warning, but the deputies were unable to make contact with the subjects.

Dec. 29

12:37 a.m. Deputies were dispatched to FM 1483 at County Road 1835 regarding a suspicious vehicle.  Deputies located the vehicle which had run off of the roadway and provided the driver with a courtesy transport home.

3:51 p.m. Deputies were dispatched to County Road 4960 in Winnsboro regarding a dog bite that had occurred the week prior. Deputies located the owner who was not aware of the incident, but provided documentation that his dog was up to date with vaccinations.

5:38 p.m. Deputies were dispatched to SH 154 at SH 182 in Quitman on a reckless driver call. Deputies located the vehicle and Jose Gonzalez Sanchez, 44, of Grand Saline, was arrested for driving while intoxicated.

7:10 p.m. Deputies were dispatched to County Road 2840 in Mineola regarding a disturbance. Deputies spoke to the reporting party, gave him advice regarding his situation and cleared the incident.

8:38 p.m. Deputies were dispatched to a business parking lot in Mineola regarding a suspicious vehicle.  Deputies located the vehicle and cleared the incident.

At 10:31 p.m., deputies conducted a traffic stop on Highway 14. Emily Moore, 18, of White Oak, was arrested on outstanding warrants.

Dec. 30

7:33 a.m. Deputies were dispatched to County Road 2210 in Mineola regarding an animal complaint.  The reporting party stated that three dogs had killed two of her show pigs. She had photos of the dogs inside of the pig pen. The deputies located the owner of the dogs who was cited for certain dogs prohibited to run at large. She promised to restrain the dogs and would speak with reporting party about the incident.

7:45 a.m. Deputies were dispatched to County Road 2206 in Mineola in reference to burglary of a building. The reporting party stated someone had pulled out his AC unit in his office and gained entry into his building. Although nothing appeared to be missing from inside the building, the AC unit will have to be replaced and damages repaired. This case remains active.

1:04 p.m. Deputies were dispatched to County Road 2696 in Hawkins on a burglary call. The reporting party stated after returning from a two-week vacation, she was unable to locate her wallet which she had left at home. She was advised to notify her credit card companies and financial institutions. This case will be forwarded to investigators.

2:43 p.m. Deputies met with the reporting party at the Wood County Sheriff’s Office. She reported that a person known to her had taken her vehicle without her permission. This case will be forwarded to investigators.

4:50 p.m. Deputies were dispatched to PR 7862 in Hawkins at regarding a theft. The complainant stated someone removed the mail from her mailbox and left it on the ground. She did not know if any of her mail was missing and wished to document the incident.

5:52 p.m. Deputies met with the reporting parties at the Wood County Sheriff’s Office. They reported sending money to an out of state company for computer repair. The company has not done any computer repairs and they continue to contact the complainants requesting more money.

8:13 p.m. Deputies went out on an arrest/warrant service on County Road 4636. Kimberly Sanchez, 51, of Winnsboro, was arrested for interference with child custody.

9:41 p.m. Deputies were dispatched to County Road 2135 in Quitman to a structure fire. The home was engulfed in flames and the deputy confirmed that the homeowner, all occupants and animals made it out safely. All of the information has been forwarded to the fire marshal for follow-up.

Dec. 31

12:47 a.m. Deputies went on an arrest/warrant service in Hawkins and Justin Raymond, 18, of Hawkins, was arrested for an outstanding warrant.

6:36 a.m. Deputies were dispatched to County Road 2320 near PR 6325 regarding an abandoned vehicle.  When deputies arrived, they found a vehicle abandoned in the road causing a road hazard and had the vehicle towed. 

7:31 a.m. Deputies were dispatched to County Road 4294 regarding an animal complaint. The homeowner advised that he had shot and killed a dog for harassing his livestock.

9:23 a.m. Deputies received a call regarding debit card fraud. The reporting party stated that her debit card had been used fraudulently. This case has been forwarded to investigators.

1:28 p.m. Deputies were dispatched to Carnegie in Winnsboro at regarding a criminal trespass. The homeowner reported two people going door to door who refused to leave her property. Both individuals were issued criminal trespass warnings.

1:36 p.m. Deputies were dispatched to FM 852 in Winnsboro regarding phone harassment. The deputy tried to contact the individual and left a message. The complainant was advised to call again if the harassment continued.

11:52 p.m.  Deputies went on an arrest/warrant service to Hwy. 37. Kevin Drain, 29, of Winnsboro, was arrested on an out of county warrant.

11:57 p.m. Deputies were dispatched to Meadowview Path in Hawkins regarding a disturbance.  Brad Beegle, 33, of Hawkins, was arrested for assault causes bodily injury family violence.
