April 27

Deputy Croney, theft, Holly Lake Ranch, someone possibly taking checks out of mail box, also had three fraudulent charges on account and getting account frozen, forwarded to investigations.

Deputy Cooper, warrant service, Wells St., Mineola. Terry Whitworth, 43, Mineola, arrested.

Deputy Whisenhunt, theft, County Road 3163; landowner stated someone dismantled gate opener, took parts, no suspects.

April 28

Deputy Rap, gunshot victim, Quitman ER; victim advised had been shot while in a group. Due to bullet’s trajectory, it was deemed subject accidentally shot himself. Victim admitted to shooting himself and scared to tell the truth. 

Deputy Cooper, traffic stop, N. Hwy. 37; suspect turned on blinker, failed to turn, sped up. Cooper caught up to vehicle which had expired registration and failed to stay in single lane. Subject admitted using drugs two days prior, suspect did not want vehicle searched. After being informed canine would be called, was able to show narcotics in vehicle. Robert Farrell, 62, Mineola arrested for possession of a controlled substance and unlawful possession of firearm.

Deputy Rapp, animal complaint, County Road 2650; complainant advised had kenneled dog that came up, tried to find owner. Rapp unable to locate owner.

Deputy Whisenhunt, traffic hazard, vehicle parked partially in roadway, blocking driveway; caller advised could have vehicle towed if blocking a driveway.

Deputy Pollard, welfare check, County Road 2276; homeowner appeared OK, seemed to have food and utilities.

Deputy Pollard, theft of service, County Road 2234; caller advised wrote check to do tree work, person never showed up, canceled check, person finally showed up, angry check was canceled; caller wanted person criminally trespassed, Pollard unable to locate individual. 

April 29

Deputy Williams, criminal trespass, County Road 2744; landowner advised someone had been walking onto property, wanted criminally trespassed, subject issued warning.

Deputy Cooper, disturbance, Private Road 7495; victim walking to horse trailer, ex-husband grabbed by neck, pulled out knife, placed against throat, made threats, fled to his residence. Deputies located suspect. James Goddard, 52, Hawkins arrested for aggravated assault with deadly weapon-family violence.

Deputy Kovic, incident, County Road 2400; caller heard kids yelling at his dogs, confronted them, were already down the street. Kovic contacted kids, advised were trying to get their dog back. 

Sgt Skinner, suspicious person, FM 515; person not making sense, appeared to be under influence of substance, observed meth pipe in back pocket. Dawn Miller, 43, Emory arrested for public intoxication.

Deputy Kovic, disturbance, FM 3056; parties going through divorce, husband trying to take items, wife would not let him, advised to wait until divorce final before getting items.

April 30

Deputy Williams, theft, County Road 4700; employee stealing tools from business. After employee arrested, complainant was called to pick up suspects’ vehicle, inside found multiple tools belonging to business. Complainant wants to file charges, forwarded to investigations.

Sgt. Cox , assault, Hwy 80; caller had been assaulted the day prior, headed to hospital due to pain; advised white van pulled beside him at high rate of speed, victim told driver to slow down. Suspect got out of vehicle, threatened to assault him, then assaulted him. Suspect advised victim had spun around and fallen down. Case forwarded to investigations.

Deputy Williams, dispute, Private Road 8574; caller advised him and female he hired to work got into argument. When caller told female he was calling police, female drove off; caller did not wish to press charges.

Deputy Kovic, identity theft, County Road 2258; while using computer, screen popped up to call Microsoft because computer was hacked. Person asked for sensitive personal data which caller gave. Caller later believed phone call may have been  scam and filed report.

May 1

Deputy Rapp, warrant service, County Road 2121. Donny Reynolds, 48, Quitman arrested.

Deputy Rapp, disturbance, FM 778; victim arguing with suspect who flicked cigarette that hit her near her eye; suspect advised had been arguing and did flick cigarette. William Farrar, 50, of Mineola arrested for assault family violence.

Deputy Mayer, theft, FM 778; caller advised while in hospital, neighbor called him, told him someone had stolen two lion statues from driveway. Mayer confirmed statues missing, caller did not know who might have taken them, forwarded to investigations.

May 2

Deputy Cooper, animal complaint, County Road 3810; neighbor’s dog trying to attack neighbors, spoke to the dog owner who advised caller was mad because she filed complaint on him; dog appeared to be non-aggressive, current on vaccinations. 

Deputy Cooper, traffic stop, FM 778; vehicle in driving path of vehicle turning onto FM 778 from Tammy St., found subject to have outstanding warrant, located small amount of crystal-like substance; other county canceled warrant due to COVID-19 protocols. Charles Bell, 24, of Quitman arrested for possession of a controlled substance.

May 3

Deputy Cooper, traffic stop, N. Highway 37; Cooper noticed green leafy substance on driver’s shirt, appearing to be marijuana, smelled burned marijuana; search found crystal-like substance. Termaine Bell, 44, Crossroads arrested for possession of a controlled substance

Deputy Whisenhunt, disturbance, County Road 4640; witness advised male and female hit each other, female advised no hits exchanged, she fell down, did not want to pursue charges, male unable to be located.

Deputy Pollard, traffic stop, FM 515; smelled marijuana, after advising driver of probable cause to search, admitted marijuana in vehicle. Micah Deal, 20, Greenville arrested for possession of marijuana. 

Deputy Whisenhunt, criminal mischief, County Road 3869; complainant advised neighbor’s son shot holes in window with BB gun, child’s parents advised they didn’t believe gun would shoot that far but would speak with child, caller did not wish to pursue charges, may file civil case later.

Deputy Morrison, theft, County Road 2275; caller left borrowed trailer at residence overnight, gone the next day, notified to contact owner to report stolen, did not have license or VIN, advised can’t be entered stolen until numbers provided, forwarded to investigations. 

Deputy Whisenhunt, burglary, FM 2869; someone had broken window to house, staying in it during the night, no one found inside, no cameras documenting issue, workers advised cameras will be installed.
