August 24

Deputy Gould, theft, Hwy. 154; lock and items missing from storage unit, no videos, property owner has not provided information on stolen items.

Deputy Rapp, dispute, County Road 4200; caller’s brother-in-law at house yelling, would not leave, suspect left, told to stay away from victim.

August 25

Deputy Williams, theft, County Road 3144; victim’s wife stated two males showed up at house, fired multiple shots, attacked husband, stole car, victim treated by EMS, vehicle recovered. Investigators working case.

Deputy Kovic, assault, FM 779; victim in back yard, two males assaulted him, had encounter with them the day prior in Grand Saline, case forwarded to investigations.

Deputy Gould, deceptive business practices; caller advised had man replace RV air conditioner, three days later it broke, found where same person had done this multiple times, case forwarded to investigations.

Deputy Williams, theft, Hwy. 154; someone stole cargo trailer from storage place, did not have suspects, will provide list of stolen items.

August 26

Deputy Hughes, traffic stop, County Road 1812; observed vehicle turn onto 1812, began to flee at high speed for one mile before stopping. Ramsey Burnett, 32, Yantis arrested for evading arrest.

Deputy Croney, disturbance, County Road 1431; family on property advised suspect kept breaking into buildings, they did not want him there. While speaking with suspect, observed marijuana odor from vehicle, green leafy substance and crystal substance located inside vehicle. Blake Cunningham, 29, Sunnyvale arrested for possession of controlled substance.

August 27

Deputy Morrison, identity theft, County Road 2311; victim had fraudulent charges on bank account, bank advised would investigate, report was made. 

Deputy Rapp, disturbance, Hwy. 154; caller’s boyfriend assaulted by two males and stole his phone. Deputy unable to speak with victim due to language barrier, phone found burned in front yard, case forwarded to investigations.

Deputy Croney, criminal trespass; caller advised they figured out who was entering father’s house without permission. Probation officer left a card to be contacted, informed the caller two individuals admitted to living on property, case forwarded to investigations.

Deputy Whisenhunt, forgery; caller received message that food stamp card was locked, needed to call to unlock it. After caller unlocked the card, it was depleted. 

Deputy Morrison, assault, FM 515; victim was riding with girlfriend, she got mad and hit him. Victim got out of vehicle while at a stop sign, suspect continued on, victim wished to pursue charges, case forwarded to investigations.

August 28

Deputy Pollard, dispute, County Road 3250; caller hired someone to do work, when he let him go, worker refused to return tools. Deputy retrieved missing tools.

Deputy Kovic, fraud; caller paid deposit to person for vehicle, never showed up, suspect possibly trying to sell multiple items to people. 

August 29

Deputy Rapp, theft; victim paid someone half of quote to install kitchen cabinets, they never showed up, suspect contacted multiple times, has yet to provide cabinets, case forwarded to investigations.

Deputy Williams, burglary, County Road 4691; someone broke window into bedroom, did not enter house, third time house has been broken into recently, case forwarded to investigations.

Deputy Kovic, terroristic threat, Jarvis College. Security received threatening email, IP address hidden, unable to be identified, case forwarded to investigations. 

August 30

Deputy Rapp, harassment; victim advised daughter’s father sending harassing texts, showing up at house unwanted, told multiple times to leave victim alone, case forwarded to investigations.

Deputy Kovic, theft, County Road 2670, cable and fan stolen, case forwarded to investigations.

Deputy Maye, disturbance, County Road 2140; parties sitting at table, suspect began arguing with them, then grabbed knife, pointed it at people. Jeri Hess, 37, Quitman arrested for aggravated assault with deadly weapon.
