April 5

Deputy Kovic, assault, Private Road 6536; caller assaulted over the weekend, would like to press charges, forwarded to investigations.

Sgt. Cox, Deputy Rapp, warrant service, Winnsboro; Camden King, 19, arrested for active warrant.

Sgt. Cox, theft; four-wheeler stolen from work site. Due to not having VIN, not entered as stolen.

Deputy Rapp, fraud; credit card used three times in Tyler without permission, provided possible suspect, case forwarded to investigations.

Deputy Hughes, assault, Jarvis; victim assaulted by ex, pepper sprayed him in face. While suspect detained, fled on foot, caught, resisted officers until carried into patrol car. Laci Campbell, 18, arrested for assault, resisting arrest, evading arrest.

April 6

Deputy Rapp, assault, Quitman; victim assaulted at residence on FM 778, located suspect’s address, case forwarded to investigations.

Sgt. Mayer, Deputy Comeaux, harassment, County Road 2117; neighbor driving by gave hand gestures. Deputies spoke with suspect, advised they did not do anything. Deputies returned, provided video of suspect harassing victim.

Deputy Rapp, assault, Quitman ER; male came to victim’s residence with friends, started argument, victims pepper sprayed, hit with metal pole, case forwarded to investigations.

Deputy Arellano, assault, Quitman ER for an assault; victim assaulted by male at her friend’s house, possible suspect advised he never witnessed victim being assaulted.

April 7

Deputy Croney, burglary, County Road 2157; owner recently acquired property, multiple items missing, case forwarded to investigations.

Sgt. Morrison, Deputy Pollard, welfare check, Alba; possible suicidal subject attempting to drive car into lake. OnStar pinged vehicle in different county  where victim located unharmed.

Sgt. Morrison, warrant service, Quitman. Daphney Ellsworth, 44, arrested for outstanding warrant.

Sgt. Williams, Deputy Way, Deputy Burdick, burglary, County Road 2425; property owner heard loud noise in residence, saw two males in residence, owner fired multiple rounds at suspects, did not appear to hit one, no suspect information.

Sgt. Williams, Deputy Way, disturbance, Holly Lake Ranch; during argument, suspect pulled gun, pointed at him, suspect admitted pointing gun at victim. Charles Coleman, 23, arrested for deadly conduct.

Cpl. Rapp, harassment, Private Road 7521; victim’s ex-husband called over 100 times, had bond conditions preventing him from doing so, case forwarded to investigations. 

April 8

Sgt. Morrison, Deputy Croney, animal complaint, County Road 2150; caller still having issues with neighbors’ dogs on property. Deputies responded to address previously when neighbor’s dog attacked victim’s dog, suspect has yet to get vaccinations for dogs, given five citations for each dog with no vaccinations.

Cpl. Cooper, animal bite, Quitman Animal Clinic; victim stated dog bit him at Lake Fork Marina, suspect provided vaccination records, agreed to leave marina.

Sgt. Morrison, Cpl. Cooper, Deputy Croney, shots fired, County Road 4641; suspects stated dog came onto property attacking chickens, they yelled at it, shot at it. Multiple stories inconsistent, unable to locate firearm, spent casings, case forwarded to investigations.

Deputy Croney, criminal trespass; caller’s ex coming onto property, taking items, would like her trespassed, contacted suspect, issued criminal trespass.

Sgt. Morrison, Deputy Pollard, animal bite, FM 1801; located unresponsive male with multiple dog bites, flown to hospital, one suspect refused to give information, had active warrants, arrested, dog taken to sheriff’s office. Derek Curts, 22, arrested.

April 9

Sgt. Morrison, Cpl. Cooper, disturbance, County Road 3494; victim’s son made threats, suspect located, detained, victim advised she was pushed by son during argument. Jacob Wilson, 22, arrested for assault.

Deputy Pollard, assault, County Road 2960; victim assaulted by female, received multiple severe injuries, victim had been in and out of hospital due to injuries, case forwarded to investigations.

Cpl. Rapp, welfare check, FM 778; cousin living in bad conditions, possibly being fed meth, checked on subject who advised they were fine, working to make property better.

Sgt. Williams, suspicious vehicle. Harris County located vehicle with identification number scratched off, registered to person in Wood County, contacted vehicle owner, advised he sold vehicle.

April 10

Cpl. Baldwin, Deputy Kovic, suspicious person, County Road 2147; male staring at house, owner yelled at him to leave, believes male broke into shop, planning to break into house. Deputies unable to locate suspect.

Deputy Kovic, burglary, Private Road 7455; ex-employee stole painting from residence, now lives out of state.

Cpl. Baldwin, animal bite, County Road 2174; victim bitten by dog, did not wish to pursue charges. Baldwin observed bite, unable to locate dog.

Deputy Skinner, criminal trespass, Private Road 8692; male seen on game camera who did not have permission to be on property, believed fishing on property. 

Sgt. Mayer, Deputy Hughes, Deputy Arellano, disturbance, County Road 3802; male assaulted by people who live up the road, discovered male lied to deputies, stole phone from the people. Neither party wished to pursue charges, Micha Barber transported to another agency for outstanding warrants. Female, Auriel Sloan, arrested for outstanding warrant.

April 11

Deputy Skinner, vehicles with parts missing, McKeever Garage, Yantis area, case forwarded to investigations.

Deputy Rapp, someone accessed victim’s bank account information, money stolen from account, case forwarded to investigations.

Deputy Skinner, Sgt. Cox, Investigators Bailey and Ragsdale, theft, Yantis area; someone stole several items and keys to tractors and vehicle. Investigators located evidence at scene, will follow up.

Deputy Arellano, stolen vehicle, Fish Hook RV Park, Yantis area; suspect lives out of the county, vehicle entered as stolen, recovered in another county, case forwarded to investigations.

Deputies responded to numerous animal complaints, completed multiple security checks.
