April 26

Sgt. Morrison, Cpl. Cooper, burglary, CR 4897; back window broken, items missing from residence, possible suspect’s blood located, sent for testing, case forwarded to investigators.

Sgt. Morrison, Deputy Croney, possible narcotics; deputies observed Marcus Miller acting strangely, during search, pipe and methamphetamine found on suspect. Miller arrested for possession of controlled substance.

Cpl. Cooper, suspicious person, CR 226; deputy observed male standing on table screaming. Neil Rugg, found to be intoxicated, arrested for public intoxication.

Sgt. Williams, disturbance, CR 1560; suspect had protection order by victim at this address. Thosha Garrett arrested for violation of protection order.

Sgt. Williams, Deputy Arellano, disturbance, Hwy. 154; victim got into argument with sister when her boyfriend tried to assault him, victim also saw suspect pull out knife before leaving residence, case forwarded to investigations.

April 27

Sgt. Morrison, Cpl. Cooper, missing cattle; cow seen out of fence, located Sam Morris, who had active warrant, arrested.

Deputy Pollard, false drug test, adult probation; John Rayburn had falsified drug test, taken into custody.

Sgt. Morrison, scam, CR 1700; victim received comment on social media stating he had won money, victim provided personal information and was hacked. 

Deputy Pollard, burglary, CR 3802; someone broke into residence, took multiple items, entered as stolen, case forwarded to investigations.

Sgt. Morrison, Deputy Croney, warrant service, CR 2351. Gregory Roberts arrested for outstanding warrant.

Sgt. Williams, reckless driver; observed vehicle missing mirror, initiated stop. Amy Hayes arrested for outstanding warrant.

April 28

Cpl. Baldwin, theft, Yantis; Amazon package stolen from residence. 

Sgt. Cox, suspicious circumstance, CR 4730; caller could hear male speaking but could not see one, searched area, did not locate anyone.

Sgt. Mayer, Deputy Comeaux responded to above location for same issue; caller still hearing noises, would use gun for protection. While responding, deputies heard gun, located caller with gun shot wound, autopsy ordered, case handled by investigations.

Sgt. Mayer, Deputy Comeaux, welfare check, FM 49; observed male intoxicated. Garrett Campbell arrested for public intoxication.

April 29

Sgt. Cox, unauthorized use of motor vehicle; caller’s girlfriend left in his car again when he asked her not to, suspect called, told to bring back vehicle.

Cpl. Baldwin, burglary, Hwy. 11; someone broke into grandfather’s home, took multiple items, caller did not have serial numbers, case forwarded to investigations.

Sgt. Mayer, Deputy Comeaux, disturbance, CR 2120; suspect had bond conditions preventing her from being at residence, also assaulted her sister and stepfather. Jessenia Garcia arrested for violation of bond conditions and assault.

Deputy Hughes, traffic stop, Hwy. 154; vehicle sped up, went into a business, driver fled on foot, deputy caught up to him, drug paraphernalia located on suspect, crystal substance located in vehicle. Cody Henderson arrested for evading, possession of controlled substance, possession of firearm by felon and active warrant.

April 30

Sgt. Cox, Deputy Kovic, disturbance, FM 14; victim advised she was pushed out of her house, suspect threw her clothes out, suspect advised he was assaulted, showed no signs of assault.

Cpl. Baldwin, Deputy Kovic, disturbance, Alba; caller stated son was assaulting his fiancé. Daniel Kees arrested for assault.

Sgt. Cox, Deputy Kovic, vehicle fire, CR 3875; victim having transmission issues when car caught fire. Everyone escaped safely.

Deputy Hughes, assault, CR 1807; deputy located victim covered in blood, did not wish to pursue charges, case forwarded to investigations.

May 1

Sgt. Morrison, Cpl. Cooper, assault, CR 1301; caller assaulted when neighbor hit him with tractor, video showed victim step in front of tractor and did not let go, case forwarded to investigations.

Deputy Pollard, assault, CR 2650; victim assaulted by eight people the night prior, listed possible suspect, case forwarded to investigations.

Deputy Pollard, harassment; male contacted victim again through social media, suspect previously arrested for harassing victim, offense report completed.

Deputy Way, suspicious person; caller hearing noises outside. Deputies have been to address multiple times, deputy searched area, found nothing.

May 2

Cpl. Cooper, traffic stop, Winnsboro; passenger, Shayla Wright, had active warrant. While enroute to jail, advised she had narcotics, also arrested for possession of controlled substance.

Sgt. Morrison, theft, Hwy. 154; multiple batteries stolen from vehicles, business does not have cameras, listed possible suspect.

Cpl. Cooper, theft; caller gave someone money to buy four-wheeler, did not return, offense report completed.

Sgt. Morrison, Deputy Croney, welfare concern, Winnsboro; victim having mental issues, has had past of self-harm, transported to receive treatment. 

Lt Milbourn, Sgt. Morrison, Cpl. Cooper, abandoned child, Hwy. 80; deputies located child surrounded by aggressive dogs, made contact with infant’s mother who advised child was missing all day, she did not call law enforcement. Another child located in extreme poor living conditions. CPS contacted, both children removed. Violet Workman arrested for abandon/endanger child.
