September 11
Pursuit, Hwy. 69. DPS advised pursuit involving stolen vehicle on 69 from Rains County. Deputies assisted until it crossed county line on South Hwy. 69.
Cpl. Croney, disturbance; Franklin County spoke with two subjects involved in disturbance while driving in Wood County, victim advised she was assaulted by male in vehicle. Jamie Lindsay arrested for assault family violence.
Lt. Kovic, Sgt. Williams, Deputy Holland, disturbance, Private Road 7865; caller’s husband outside waving firearm, pointed it at her, deputies unable to determine what happened due to conflicting stories, firearm confiscated for safekeeping, parties separated for the night, case forwarded to investigations.
September 12
Deputy Whisenhunt, theft, Hwy. 154; someone broke into camper, stole items, list of missing items provided, offense report completed.
Cpl. Rich, violation of protection; caller’s boyfriend arrested, had emergency protection order in place, advised boyfriend attempting to call her from jail, offense report completed.
Deputy Comeaux, disturbance; no offense occurred, parties separated for the night.
September 13
Sgt. Cox, warrant service, Adult Probation. James Little John arrested for active warrant.
Cpl. Rapp, disturbance, CR 3440; boyfriend disabled caller’s vehicle, determined no offense occurred. Tania Patenburg had active warrant from Rains County, placed in custody.
Cpl. Burdick, animal bite, Quitman ER; victim playing with neighbor’s dog when it bit her, dog owner advised they would get proof of vaccine records.
September 14
Sgt. Cox, Deputy Smith, missing person, CR 2120; unable to locate subject, regional lookout placed for subject.
Sgt. Mayer, Deputy Williams, welfare check; female attempted to cause self-harm, deputies able to get subject to go with EMS for treatment.
Deputy Smith, burglary, Hawkins; victim came home, front door open, house had been gone through, case forwarded to Hawkins PD.
September 15
Cpl. Rapp, aggressive dog, CR 3420; stray dog in boat house acting aggressive, not letting victim in boat house, dog observed to be aggressive, transported to Sheriff’s Office.
Cpl. Rapp, criminal mischief, Holly Lake Ranch; victim believes neighbor purposely removed dirt from retaining wall causing damage to foundation, did not have footage of incident, advised to put up cameras.
Cpl. Burdick, burglary, CR 4150; someone broke into rental house, attempted to steal item, case forwarded to investigations.
September 16
Deputy Pollard, harassment, CR 1879; person living on property had been threatening, harassing victim, neighbor issued criminal trespass warning.
Cpl. Rich, in formation; caller advised subject in area drives to local stores intoxicated, vehicle information provided, forwarded to Alba PD.
Sgt. Williams, Deputy Comeaux, possible intoxicated driver, CR 2918; caller’s ex intoxicated, threatening to drive with their child in vehicle, deputy located suspect’s vehicle driving, observed vehicle commit traffic violation, traffic stop conducted, driver asked to perform Field Sobriety Test. Ashton Slaton arrested for DWI 3rd or more with child passenger.
September 17
Sgt. Morrison, Deputy Pollard, possible assault, Hwy. 154; employee at store assaulted by customer who left on foot, deputies located subject walking, detained and returned to store, victim advised customer acting irate in store, did not assault them, criminally trespassed from store.
Sgt. Morrison, Deputy Pollard, disturbance, shots fired; parties advised neighbor shot off rounds from house, causing alarm, when neighbors went to confront subject, physical disturbance ensued, due to subjects involved still being upset and intoxicated, suspect, Steven Baldwell, arrested for assault by contact.
CID, warrant service, FM 312. Cole Weems arrested for active warrant.
Deputy Halye, disturbance; victim’s ex-boyfriend became upset that she was leaving, pulled her back down on the bed, struck her in the face, she hit him back, suspect kicked victim in the stomach, she was able to leave with friend, offense report was completed, case forwarded to investigations.
