Fence dividing cemeteries becomes a part of history

The entrance into the Black section installed around 12 years ago. The entrance is now entirely unobstructed by fencing.

A historical marker and American flag stand just inside the fence between Cedar Memorial Gardens and the Black cemetery in Mineola, with a cross in the background on the other side. The fence is scheduled to be taken down next week.
