Quitman ISD buys new student laptops
Quitman ISD school board members unanimously approved $26,703 for the purchase of 100 new Chromebooks Monday. They will be issued to incoming freshmen next fall as the current class of seniors will be keeping their Chromebooks when they graduate.

Yantis student wins at calf scramble
Lilian Forward of the Yantis FFA caught a calf during the Fort Worth Stock Show & Rodeo’s Calf Scramble Jan. 19, earning a $500 purchase certificate for a show heifer and the chance for up to $16,000 in scholarship awards.
