MISD hosting first forum on bond issue
Patrons of the Mineola school district will have their first opportunity to hear a presentation and ask questions abut the proposed MISD bond election.
The forum is Thursday, Feb. 24 at the Mineola Civic Center.

The Mineola School Board voted unanimously last Thursday night to ask the district’s voters to approve a bond issue for $29,855,000 to build a new school and create a career and technology center.
The election will be held on Saturday, May 7 in conjunction with school board and city council elections. more

MISD board sets meeting to call bond election
Mineola School Board will consider calling a $29.9 million bond election at a special meeting Thursday at 6 p.m.
The board held a public forum Monday to go over the bond’s particulars, which was also live-streamed.
The highlight of the proposal is a new primary school on E. Loop 564 that would house Head Start through third grade. more
