A-GHS boys games canceled
The Alba-Golden boys basketball team was forced to cancel two games during the holidays.
The team was ready to take the floor at Emory Rains on Dec. 29 when the host team decided not to play, as an Alba-Golden player had a pending COVID-19 test.
Alba-Golden was also scheduled to play at Hawkins the next day, and that game was also called off.
The Lady Panthers split a pair of non-district games last week, losing 40-27 to Scurry-Rosser Dec. 29 and beating Miller Grove Wednesday 59-36.
After opening district Tuesday night at Como-Pickton, the Lady Panthers host North Hopkins Friday and will be at Cumby Jan. 12 for their first three district games.
The boys open district at Cumby Tuesday, Jan. 12.
