Alba council agenda form to be on city’s website

In a 15-minute meeting Monday night, Alba City Council members voted to adopt a new agenda item form.

Members of the public who wish to submit an item for consideration on the city council’s agenda will be able to access the new form via the Alba city website.

The updated version was submitted by city attorney Leigh Thompson.

The mayor also announced that all city council members who have not taken the required cybersecurity, open meetings act and public information act trainings must do so soon.

The council voted to designate Wood County Tax Assessor-Collector Angie Luman to calculate the no-revenue tax rate and the voter tax rate; City Secretary Lindy McCarty noted that the designation was a yearly requirement.

The council tabled a discussion on a resolution “adopting a city council procedures and decorum policy” until next month’s meeting, so that members can peruse an updated version.
