Alba-Golden grabs big win in makeup contest
Alba-Golden outlasted North Hopkins 11-6 in a makeup baseball game Monday.
The Panthers had 10 hits and three errors while North Hopkins collected nine hits and six errors.
Alba-Golden gave up two runs to open the contest but evened the scored in the bottom of the second and took the lead 5-2 in the third.
North Hopkins countered with two runs in the next inning and the Panthers answered with one for a 6-4 lead.
Alba-Golden added a run in the fifth and then tried to pull away with four in the sixth.
North Hopkins added two in the seventh before the Panthers got the final out.
Easton Campbell had four hits for the Panthers while Chelton Cook drove in three runs. Aaron Graham threw a complete game and struck out three.
