All-state softball honors
Three members of the Mineola High School softball team and one player from Alba-Golden have been awarded all-state honors.
Adielyn Smith, Alba-Golden sophomore pitcher, was named to the Texas Girls Coaches Association’s all-state team for Class 2A.
Named to the Blue Bell/Texas Sports Writers Association Class 3A all-state softball team honorable mention are catcher Courtney Nguyen, outfielder Mahayla McMahon and utility player Journey Wilson.
