Berry to lead county economic development
Wood County Judge Lucy Hebron announced the appointment of Jim Berry, as the executive director of the Wood County Economic Development Commission.
Berry is a seasoned economic development professional and former chamber of commerce CEO, with over 30 years’ experience in the field.
He holds a bachelor’s degree in business administration with a marketing major from the University of Arkansas.
He has completed the National Chamber Institute Program at SMU, the Economic Development Institute at the University of Oklahoma, the Center for Creative Leadership, Greensboro, N.C. and has taught in the US Chamber Institute program.
He and his wife Jan have lived in Holly Lake Ranch since 2016.
Berry has been serving on the WCEDC board and replaces Christophe Trahan, who resigned to take a position in Palestine.
