Betty Lou Fergason, 1947-2021

Betty Lou Fergason, 73, of Quitman passed away suddenly on Feb. 16, 2021 in Tyler. 

Mrs. Fergason was born in Mineola to J.R. and Euna Vee (Baker) Amason on Nov. 15, 1947. She married Forest Fergason in Quitman on June 17, 1966. They were longtime residents of Quitman, where she took care of the family home, bookkeeping for the family business, and retired from UT Health in Tyler as an admissions clerk. She was a member of Faith Baptist Church in Quitman.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Forest Fergason in 2013; and great-granddaughter, Gracelyn. She is survived by her brother and sister-in-law, Richard and Kay Amason of Mineola; daughter and son-in-law, Karla and Scott Wheeler of Quitman; daughter and son-in-law, Misty and Willie Walls of Quitman; grandchildren, Christin Wheeler Henderson, Kyle Wheeler and wife Nikki, Kale Holland and Madison Holland; great-grandchildren, Cayden, Kayleigh, CamBria, Haidyn, Timberlyn, Remington, KyLeAnn and Willa Kate; as well as many additional relatives and a host of friends.
