Bobby Jim Koscheski 1934-2021

Bobby Jim Koscheski, 87, passed away peacefully at Hospice of East Texas Homeplace in Tyler July 24, 2021. He was born Jan. 12, 1934 in Clinton, Okla. to Katy Mildred and Elmer Otto Koscheski.

Mr. Koscheski graduated from Sayer High School and joined the Air Force shortly after. He served four years active duty. He trained as a mechanic for airplanes. He served 26 additional years at the California Air National Guard where he retired after 30 years in the military. He also worked and retired as a post master for the US Postal Service.

He then moved to East Texas.

He faithfully served the Lord. He was a beloved father and husband. He was a member of First Assembly of God in Hawkins where he served on the board of directors for 12 years. He was a member of the Christian Motorcyclist Association, Kingdom Riders for 14 years where he served as chaplain. He attended meetings, rallies, campouts and Run for the Son.

His favorite pastime was playing cards (hand and foot) with beloved friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Elmer and Mildred Koscheski: his brother, Allen Koscheski and twin brother Billy; and brothers-in-law, Lee Evers and Frank Sitterly.

He is survived by his wife, Shirley Koscheski; sister, Peggy Evers; daughters, Paula Sikora and husband Victor and Linda Koscheski, and their mother, Deanna Koscheski; grandchildren, Tyler and Kaitlyn Sikora; two sisters-in-law, Carol Koscheski and Mae Koscheski; and step-children, Cindy Pruitt and her husband Danny, Angela Falley and Steve.
