The Winnsboro Red Raiders took a first inning 3-0 lead and coasted to a 9-2 win over Quitman in a District 13-3A game at the new Ballparks at Winnsboro. Winnsboro’s offense lit up the score board with 12 hits.

The Red Raiders took the early lead when a Keen Glover base hit scored two of their three first inning runs to spark the Winnsboro offense. The Raiders added single runs in the second and third innings and then had a big fourth inning, scoring four times and blowing the game wide open.

Winnsboro pitchers Lance Brown and Dominique Allen held Bulldog batters to just two hits. Quitman hits came from Cody Hawley and Ford Tannebaum.

Ty Holland started the game for Quitman, and Mason Reynolds came on in relief. Reynolds held the Raiders to two hits and struck out four Raiders in his two innings of work.
